Her Venus Aquarius

Venus in Aquarius likes freedom. Your Venus in Scorpio will have to understand that. Don't be too clingy or too controlling. You'll lose them fast.

I've noticed that freedom behavior with her.. sometimes it's hard for me to lock this Venus in Scorpio down..ugh. I jus need more reassurance sometimes from others.
I do know she has a soft side underneath everything on the surface, which i believe is what attracted me to her in the first place. But I am still learning more and more about her each day. She's an interesting one for sure.
I feel relationships are more than our placements My bf due to his emotions has a lot of emotional outbursts here and there. But he made a decision to have less of them. I'm naturally in my own world making sometimes my boyfriend neglected and not loved. So i made the decision to show more reassurance for him. Ok i'm going to give my input, but mine are real life experiences that I've seen with other people's relationships. And has NOTHING do with learning on charts until after. meaning I've only learned astrology then looked into their charts then saw the culprits. HOWEVER, this is not even a law into itself because whatever astrologers or other people say, you two make it work via love. If you don't have that, then it's just going to suck.
My mother in law has a Venus in Aquarius and my father in law has a venus in scorpio.
It didnt work between them, because, they were just too different. But she's a Cap Sun and he's a double virgo. It was short lived. He married a Gemini woman and I still don't know her full chart, but they are living harmoniously and loving it. He provides her what she needs and vice versa.

I'd refrain from looking at synastry and keep it simple and look for compatible signs and definitely not worry too much about one particular placement, aside from compatibility is how strong of an influence that placement is.
E.g. I may be Aquarius with dominant Pisces traits I'm nothing but short of a damned Plutonian so the Scoprio nature fits me just fine.

Basically I just need to work on my moon with hers since they're square lol.
I guess I just need to be more patient and sensitive to her sensitivity. Need to be there more for her in the long run rather than being so independent.
and yes i've known her for quite a long time since high school which was like back in 2003-2006. Recently reconnected with her about 2 months ago and immediately saw something that interested me. I've been going for it for about 2 months now.. still "going at it" actually.... idk whether I should let her know how i feel.. or just keep "weighing" out her actions and trying to figure her out some more w/o scaring her off (if that makes sense). Just don't want to push her away I guess.
Just let her have her freedom and when she is ready she will stay. ( if she decides ) aqua is a fixed sign and so is your venus in scorp. So maybe it'll be ok.
yea mars in scorpio w a aqua venus is hard. I have those placements and its like hot n cold it sucks at times

Back to your question though: why is it hard for me to express my feelings or what am i waiting for?..
I'm very passive aggressive in my actions and move VERY slow....sometimes almost too slow unfortunately. This might be my reasoning why. I also want to make sure it is the right time and moment to do so. I know her and I have a pretty mutual understanding of one another. I even feel we connect more on an emotional level than she does w/ her regular friends and she has A LOT of friends.. some are mutual as well.
I recently went on an outing to a bar with her last week cause it was one of her friends going away parties, I did not know the dude but she had invited me to go along anyway. While there i saw some friends we both knew. I basically was just observing the whole situation in general as i'm not the type to put myself out there and be a social butterfly, in fact i'm quite the opposite lol. She did however introduce me to a bunch of people that I did not know and made me feel welcomed, which was nice. Although she did go off and socialize w/ her friends as I was just hanging by myself for a little bit observing everyone, she did come back here and there to check up on me.

ryu8, Hope it works out for you. Speaking from experience I found it difficult at first to figure out my aqua man but you learnt to adapt and work your way around that.
I don't follow astrology to a T because I have learned that astrology isn't completely accurate through my own observations of people, couples, and placements. I've read a lotttt of astrology books and I took the plausible knowledge and combined it with experiential knowledge.
Anyways, I'll give you my own rendition of astrology based on the placements you've given. Your sexual compatibility is good. The way Aquarius loves, shows love, expresses emotion & just "ticks" in general is very different from Scorpio.

I've dated a Scorpio before & the relationship had it's time when things were so passionate that we were madly in love almost to the point of us needing to separate lol & other times when things were just too dull b/c of us being stubborn, disconnected & aloof when things get tough.
Things were great in the beginning though. I liked the Scorpio's willingness to not seem intimidated by my serious & sophisticated nature. I also liked his courage to not hold back very early on. He didn't mind "going first." He was up for the challenge of pulling things out of me, almost as if he wouldn't be content or stop trying until he finally felt that I was 100% open & vulnerable.
And he liked that I was so intellectual & could be extremely passionate in the bedroom. He was 50% annoyed & yet 50% respected the fact that although I was fun & down to earth, I was a challenge & wasn't easy to "game."

But he always took me needing space as me disconnecting from him emotionally, which led to me always having to overly explain myself.
