How good Agua men really are?

Just heard the strangest shit!
Aqua man who is 50 now married disabled woman when they were 19. He wanted to be viewed as a hero!
She has speech problem and all kinds of issues with her health and he is trying to figure out how to live his life without divorcing her because he is her main care giver.
I say it sounds like a bullshit.
Who does it at 19?
He said she is unable talking on the phone, they were going out - she couldn’t order her food. However they are still married 30 years later. He is just looking for outlet. He is tired but will never give up on her.
I understand good men exist but at 19? What are Aquas? Heroes or weirdos?
