How many is too many....?

Well I was talking to these guys the other day and we were discussing what constitutes being a 'slut' pardon my french.

Anyway...one of the guys is like it depends..I would sleep with/go out with a chick who'd slept with like maybe under 10, but I wouldnt marry a girl who had been with more than 3. 3's a good number, more is too many. Then the other guys like yeahh maybe 4 guys would be okay but 7's definitely wayyyy too many.

Meanwhile, these guys are sleeping with chicks all over the place so they were being total hypocrites.

I was wondering what you guys think...do you think theres such a thing as 'too many'?

Personally, I dont. To each, his own right. But thats just my opinion.

So if you do think its important primegen, where would you draw the line? I mean what if you met some great girl who you totally connected with, how many is too many?

And, you could just get tested for STIs. Not everyone who sleeps around, does so without protection and will have venereal disease. My aqua guy has slept with...ready?...over 60 chicks. And hes only 23 (tomorrow). But I mean its not my place to judge. Some people would think Ive slept with too many guys but theres a story behind every one and you know, no one knows what goes one behind closed doors etc.

Yeah he doesn't count, thats my guesstimate. Definitely over 60, probably way more. I dont ask, I dont think it really matters, it doesnt change him. I would rather be with a guy who'd slept with more rather than less, id be worried he'd feel he hadn't 'spread his wild oats' far enough and would cheat. At least with this guy he knows whats out there..

I see that they put value on a womens virtue, but wouldnt something like how she treats animals or whether she donates to charity be a more reliable judge of character than, oh shes slept with this many, shes a slut. I just think their attitudes are wrong it made me so mad.

Im only a bit into double digits with the guys Ive slept with and I dont regret any of them, I think life is all about experience, and if a guy were to judge me for what ive done in the past, I wouldnt want to be with him anyway.

I was just seeing what y'all thought about it. And yeah, I think tests are pretty necessary too. Or condoms. I guess Im just a hippy at heart, free love and all that 🙂

the thing I dont get is why is it so wrong to have sex? like whats so bad about it? You like someone, you have chemistry, who c\shouldn't you go and bang them? I think maybe its just social conditioning that makes us think so sex as taboo.

I mean I like eating icecream, sometimes I have icecream for dinner, I have like 4 different icecreams a week, so theoretically if I like sex, and want sex, and have like 4 different willing partners a week, then WHY is it so bad to indulge?

If a girl has slept with say 30+ men, it doesnt mean she will be unfaithful at all. Theres a difference from being in a relationship and sleeping around and being single and free to do as you like. I dont condone cheating, but if you are single, whats the real harm? So you look at girls who have slept with lots of guys as untrustworthy and needy?

If someone is happy to sleep with one person their whole life, im not going to judge them, (personally I could never do that) but I just dont get why it is viewed as bad to sleep with a guy whenever you feel like it. What Im trying to say is that if sex isnt that important in the scheme of life then how can someone judge someone on how many people shes been with, who really cares?

Everyone is diferent, if you would not be happy in yourself to sleep with a certain amount of guys, thats good, but thats only you as GL said. If I want to sleep with 100 men, well thats my choice and I dont see anything wrong with it at all. It doesnt make me cheap, or needy, just a girl who lets herself live in the moment. All I have been trying to establish is why sex with more than x number of people is 'bad' thats all. Who has the right to say an amount is too many? I just dont get it...sigh...

And as for the heart thing, its not always a bad experience. One guy I was with, it was a little fling, it was happy, no one got hurt and I smile when I think of him and it was worth it just for that memory I have.

I dont think any guy ive been with has damaged my capability to love my future husband. All that loves there in me, and it doesnt have much to do with sex at all. Hmm maybe Im just strange I dont know.

My guy hasnt fallen in love with 60+ people, he's slept with them. Theres a huge difference, and I think probably only one girl he was in love with, as Ive only loved one person Ive slept with to. I dont think sex and love go hand in hand and Im fine with sleeping with people I dont love, and if theyre willing to do it with me, then they are too.

Anyone can sleep with someone, love is something else all together.

See I think you are thinking in terms of relationships, Im thinking just sex, plain and simple, one night stands, whatever. Ive only been in relationships with like 4 people Ive slept with. But sleeping with someone one night, and probably not seeing them again isnt going to drastically affect my capability for love. But, to each his own, and I can see were never going to agree on this one!

I guess I will just continue on as a needy, unfaithful, easy slut and marry some poor guy whom I will never really love, as I damamged myself in my youth by sleeping with too many men

but a limit on the amount of people the woman has been with that is a hard one but i dont think i would like the type of girl that sleeps with a lot of guys.. not because of the amount of guys but because of the personality those type of women usually have ..

What makes a woman "slut" (in my opinion) is not with how many men she slept with. It's the reasons make her slut.

You have a point here. I think this is comming from the reason that people like to be "posessive" over their partners. If man or woman does not give enough importance on sex, and use it day to day activity, then there is nothing left for the opposite sex to possess.

i don't think being a slut is a matter of numbers, it's a matter of attitude!

if i had to choose between:

a woman who has slept with a considerate number of people but is a clean and sensible person, conscious about her sexuality and thinks about (and always uses) protection

and

a woman who has slept with only a few men, but always when drunk, not thinking of using protection, kind of unconsciously letting it happen

then i'd certainly be more interested in the one with the higher number 🙂

there's nothing like too many or too less. it depends on the person, their views, religious believes and what not.
i personally don't see anything wrong in having sex with people.
