Positive thinking

would you say you are a positive thinker?

ummm...yeahhhhh. I am not so positive when it comes to mankind, but veryyyyy positive when I think of God and what he can do to mankind.

Do you use positive thinking in your everyday life, to get things done? I get stuck in a rut sometimes and then remember the power of positive thinking.

I use to be, I use to be so optimistic and positive that some people found it to be rather annoying. However, as I've gotten older and have experienced the hardships/ disappointment with life and people, I am finding that I'd rather expect the worst and hope for the best... rather then seeing and believing in the good in people all the time.

I followed the same path as you did, only to become disappointed. People aren't always good, and some will let you down.
The optimism is driven by energy, turning into happiness. Everyone has energy, and has the power to control however want to use it. Hitler and the Holocaust, the way he used his energy was to gain control over people, he carried hatred more than love in his heart in physically abusing, murdering men, women, and children, made their lives suffer. Some use it for the right reasons as others do not. Sometimes people find certain traits or the person as a whole annoying, I realized is to find people who are in the similar interest or state of mind, the way you view life. Even if a co-worker who's grumpy all the time, do not have to give in into the way he feels because he created something in his perception the way he views life making him the individual he is.

An individual defines life by making their own destiny. Expecting the worse unless want it to be there, more like cautious and aware of the surroundings/environment. Expecting is different. Today is present, there is no guarantee tomorrow and yesterday is history.

A girl from work was carrying a hat that said, "I love Haters," underneath her cap, it said, "Motivation."
Being a good person without ego in accomplishing goals as others get "stuck on life" hating on you.

Therefore, you can find people who are similar like you as they can provide emotional support, joyous times, and can bring happiness.

Depending on people and being independent is two different emotional response systems.
Air is known as detachment, from everything and everyone, although it falls more into Aquarius than Gemini and Libra.

Yes, I find that reading positive things helps my mood or listening to music.

I know you're asking the aquas, but I think positive thinking leads us to a happier life. You can choose to think negative, or you can choose to think positive.

I've been trying to change my way of thinking. As everyone knows, caps can be a little bit on the pessimistic side and a cap moon can be a tiny bit judgmental. So, everytime a thought pops in my head that's negative, I try to force myself to aknowledge it, then shove it away and immediately make myself think something positive. Like....in my head 'that women is too large for that outfit. NOPE! Maybe. I admire her confidence to wear that. Good for her!'

Doesn't always work, but I'm trying. 🙂

True cap, is your man a positive guy, him being an aqua?

Depends on my Crabby mood. Generally I'm a very stable person, I don't get depressed or "down", I'm pretty balanced and 'moderate' in everything I do, and my mind is always occupied, so that helps I guess. However, I do seem to be one of those peeps who sees a half-empty glass, instead of a full one.

So you tell me.

Enfant, I always find you upbeat, you give off positive vibes. I am constantly in search of a personal challenge. People around me say I am too hard and expect too much from myself but I can't help it. That gets me down at times but never too long.

Furthermore, I always seem to attract these "bipolar" types who see me as some sort of daddy figure (I swear it's that grounded Taurus asc.) and they'd always be pissy about me being too upbeat and not letting them mope in peace. From now on, I'm only seeing upbeat chicks. I've had it with third-world "dysfunctions"!

And well, as long as you don't have unrealistic expectations of others too, that shouldn't be a problem, right?

I think it's the opposite here though. While some women, seemingly normal and balanced, search for badboy projects they can work on, but end up being worked on - I seem to be the balanced one who has taken on quite a few charity projects in my days. Maybe I should blame the Venus in Cancer, I hear their biggest need in a relationship is to feel needed. :-/

Mostly yes, I think that's because we tend to rationalize everything.
But in the most emotional situations, I crack (when I'm alone) and 2 days later I figure out in my head what was up, and I'm good as new again.
