Still no change except for the worse(Aquarius chan

Today I just got shot down on another job oppurtunity (I had been working on getting it for 2 months). I thought we were supposed to see changes for the better in 2001. Every thing is down hill and on a slippery slope. I try to do everything right and it all dead ends.

Hang in there. It seems you missed all the blessings from January, but don't give up, k? You probably will have to wait till you see something good appear, cuz this month is going to be nutso for everyone, especially Aquarius. I suggest you relax this month, but still keep your nose to the ground. Sniff out that good opportunity. I too had been working at looking for a job since last Oct. I didn't get the one I was working for, but I did get one that fell in my lap on January 17th, and it was a good one. Just be patience, obviously the universe has good plans for you 🙂

It may seem like all that hard effort has been wasted , but you are wrong.Take a step back away from from the last 2 months and see a different picture. Ask yourself one simple question.What was out of my control?. Dont forget , some things happen for a very good reason.

You are so right! When you find out what is out of your control, let it go, and take care of things that are in your control. That is a very hard lesson to learn, let alone practice. It sounds easy, but it's not. That part about wasted effort, it seems that way, but really....things do happen for a reason. I used to hate that statement, but it's reality (in my opinion).

Ha! I forgot to put in my name in that last post...the style of this site changed, but the "post an opinion" section is the same...yet I'm dazed by it...heehee...I'm such a ditz 😉

Easier said then done. I' m tired of being on the short end of the stick. Work hard be the best you can and it still seems your the one left behind. All those who seem to be getting up on everyone are those who like to use and abuse.

That's how I sounded last year, and I still feel the effects of feeling that way so I can understand where you're coming from. Told ya it's not easy, but you still can't give up dude. I'm tellin' ya, there is more in store for you and you have to have faith to keep going. Negativity will slow you down. I made it through 9 months of agony (no pun intended it wasn't pregnancy but sure as hell felt like it), and now I'm sitting on a small pot of gold for my efforts. I didn't give up. I bitched and moaned a lot but I kept jumping back in. Yeah I'd sit and wonder why the hell I'm not getting anywhere after giving it my all. When you are hit with these kinds of times, you have to realize that the universe is trying to tell you something very important. If you don't believe that, then you'll encounter more sorrow. You have to turn everything wrong that has happened over like a coin, and pull a positive theme out of it. If anything it will give you another idea on how to approach your next attack, or should I say, you're next plan. And I'm telling you this cuz someone helped me in the same way when I was down, by telling me not to give up, and I'm tellin' ya rik, I wanted to give up. You are the master of your destiny, remember that. Forget about those who use and abuse, their lives will eventually afford them the bill they need to pay for their actions. Believe me! I encountered a lot of people who "used and abused", and now I'm sitting above them watching them scratching their heads. Hang on to positive advice and remember that you're not alone rik. please....

I'm trying to learn some lessons out of this, but when you keep getting pounded like this it's hard to keep a good outlook going. All of my previous employers said they didn't want to see me go that I was one of there best workers etc. (this was told to me by other co-workers or supervisors I worked with). It seems to me too little too late they should have shown this before I left, then I may have stayed. I know this negative attitude can show when you go ou on the interviews but if you get any (I get as far as the phone interview and they say
I have an inpressive resume background education etc.) and it seems like nowhere.

Believe me I'm trying, I've been posting resumes on the net and e-mailing them to any company that I can think of that may have some use for my backround, but you being from Florida you most likley heard of the red neck rivera there are no Tech jobs here and I get tired of hearing I'm over qualified or management and minimum wage is the norm here. And when I get a responce it's from some placement agency. I've had my resume checked by so called experts and they say it's strong and impressive. It does'nt seem to get me the interviews tho.

I hate employment agencies! After 6 months of that I went out on my own to look. I got the same crap with those agencies, and most places thought I was overqualified. I did much better applying for jobs on my own, but I did it during the holidays which depressed me. I'd send out resumes and hear nothing. Then after the new year my phone was ringing off the hook, but I had found a job thru a friend (it's who you know not what you know) and that's the job I got.

Ya know, that job thing is like sex. People always want you when you're having sex, but when you're not having sex, no one's around to help out...lol!

Hey Rik, try to find a friend to help you. I was thinking of that last night. See if a friend knows about a job that you can apply for. Let everyone know you're looking, and see what happens. Screw employment agencies! They're out for themselves only!
