Hey Aquas,

Just wondering about your thoughts on this topic.

How close to a person do you need to be to fully trust them with personal information, like talking about family issues?

How long does it take you to trust?

Do you find yourself withholding information, even to your closest friends, or are you a waterfall of words once the subject has been touched?

How do you know if you can trust someone? What are some signs?

What else would you like to add in regards to trust, who gets it, how do you show it, etc?

AquaNextDoor, thanks for the reply.

So your emotions are what is the hardest to share.

Hmmm.

That's so foreign to me, as I can explain you how I feel at any given moment, and have absolutely no regret of sharing the feelings. Even if someone is judgemental, I feel, 'well that's my feeling on the subject, too bad."

Thanks for the interesting response. Definitely got me thinking.

I'm over here, "when was the last time my Aqua shared his feelings."

I'm very guarded and I usually take a looong time to open up to someone because I know what it's like to have my trust broken by someone I thought I could and to have my words twisted.

I am pretty open about a lot of things but my deepest personal innermost thoughts and feelings and family stuff of that nature takes time for me.

I tend to observe people and get a 'feel' if you will about their character. If I see you're two face or judgemental, overly emotional or a blabber mouth I probably will keep you at arms length and more than likely not confide too much or probably nothing personal at all.

If I see you're loyal and aren't one to gossip much and overtime we've built a solid bond and you confide in me I'll more than likely open up. However, even then I'll still hold back.

There are some things they'll always hold back. It gives them sense of security and control. No one will ever get 100% of Aquarius. We belong to everyone yet to no one.

This is true for me as well.

Thanks AquaMermaid. I understand what you meant by not telling people all about, even the closest. But I think most people are capable of withholding things, I mean you have to. Things that have happened that are too embarassing or things that shouldn't be known, I think it's human nature to just withhold certain things. I always say how lucky the human race is, that we haven't evolved to read minds! Imagine!

You have my thinking, because you mentioned the years that it took you to trust (not including your dad). Aquas have intuition, to some regard, and I wonder why you couldn't tell sooner?
