Yes, a Ram who has heavy water or heavy earth influence would likely have a bit more of a roundabout approach, than their firey (and possibly airy) counterpart

Is it maybe his mars? His sun, moon and mercury are in aries, his mars is in pisces and his venus is in taurus.

A lot Aries people think they are straight forward, but a lot them are just flat out rude. Difference between being "straight forward", and acting like an a-hole. They think "saying it how it is" when it comes to other peoples business makes them "real", while it just makes them come off lifeless.

So what do you think makes people "real"?

Not too sure, but sticking your foot in others people business all the time isn't very "real". Aries people are like that impulsive, immature, little brother.. They just speak to speak, and they think they are always right while a lot of them are just dumb. (At least the ones I know). I don't know.. I don't click with Aries folks, never have, ever. And I'm not hating at all, these are just simply my person experiences with them. So, so competitive, they take sheesh overboard. Lack self awareness greatly.. You can have an obese person, but if they are an Aries, they'll still think highly of themselves. Great thing to be confident, or to "act" like you are, but at the end of the day, I think they lack self awareness on how they truly come off.
