Im a gemini sun who had an intense connection with an aries sun. She is definitely the type of woman I usually go after and I am quite familiar with fire signs having just gotten out of a 14 year relationship with one recently. Anyway, the situation is that we are coworkers and hadnt had any communication until early July after I revealed i was going through a break up. She was very sweet and offered me a place to stay and rides to work but I was unexpectedly called out of the state shortly after we started talking for about a month and half due to a family emergency. Before I left we spent a lot of time together and were in constant contact even outside of work. She said she liked me but wanted to take things slow. We only got to about first base which was fine for me! About a week and a half before I left she started acting out of character (pulled back) but I tried not to let it bother me so much. We spoke a few days into my family visit and then poof she was gone. Fast forward to this last Wednesday and she magically reappeared with a new number saying her phone broke. (I know she had been having issues with her phone previously) Blah, blah we exchanged the usual catching up pleasantries. I let her know I was excited to be back to work and that I needed to work a lot of overtime so I could afford my rent as its outrageously high. She offered for me to stay in her spare bedroom. I had to decline for many reasons, i already have a deposit down and a lease signed at an apartment (She wasnt communicating with me once I left the state so I needed to make my own arrangements obviously and didnt know if her offer to live with her still stood), and i recently realized that emotionally i am not ready to live with anyone else at the moment given the relationship i just got out of and how stressful that situation was (we parted ways finally at the beginning of september) i let her know this and didnt get a response back until the next day. She then tells me she isnt ready for a relationship because she is bad st them and wants only to be friends. Ok. I am also not ready for a relationship but I am confused as to how to approach the whole "friends" relationship because I am attracted to her. Please help with any advice! We will be working together for 10 1/2 hours a day 3 days out of the week!
