Aries ...woman playing te victim

Ok, this has been bothering me for a while.

I use to have an aries woman reporting to me. She always tried drama with me. Being a Leo I thought her little mind games and BS was beneath me. So,I ignored her then got ride of her being my sub-ordinate .

Now, I hear she is telling people that I victimised her and that I slept my way to the top.I also ignored the " busy body"(a Aries male) that came to tell me.

Then yesterday I heard the two of them saying the most horrid things about other senior managers. And I thought that is why the 2 of you are friends.

This is very strange for me as I have worked with other Aries woman and manThat have such strong characters and we work well together

.... Really and never known such "TOSSERS"

Aries has a lot of impulsiveness and can sometimes say and do things without processing it, but if it's a repeated, vindictive serious of similar acts, then it is probably planned with a goal in mind.

Seems like very insecure behaviour in general. Possibly no job satisfaction?

Well , I am 6 years younger then the woman. And she thought that she could manipulate me.She is very good at it. She once told me that she admires me and that she wished that she was like me. And how people are always mistreating her.I told her to please go see a professional and I am not there for her selfesteem issues.She went shopping at the same places I do . That freaked the hell out of me.


She is playing the victim because apperently I was not teaching her to do my job. luckily one of the Director's told her that statement is untrue and that she is not even delivering on the projects I gave her.She knew she was screwed and tried to do a U-Turn. She is trying very hard to get into my good books,again.

She is the type that is nice to your face and talks smack behind your back. And believe me and Iam a not nice person in the work environment. When it comes to my job I don't mess around and don't take any BS.

It is just very sad that she is always talking crap about women in senior positions.yeah, we all slept our way to the top, according to her.

I know alot of Aries women that I admire and we always work well together and get things done... But this lady , I feel sorry for her.

Ask the 2 tossers why they are being the way they are in a polite and calm manner, almost as if you're talking about something interesting like a film or a show ?

I am kinda on my high horse and don't realy want to assosiate with her on any level. She still works on the same floor as me. But I don't need to work with her anymore.So, most of the time I ignore her.

I see political maneuvering in all of the big and small offices I have ever worked in. It is disheartening to those who work hard while others in managerial positions seem to be wasting time, money, and don't seem competent for their roles. Believe it or not, it can happen within our offices no matter how perfect we think things are.

But why are you calling them out on their insecurities when I strongly believe that you haven't shown you can effectively fix the situation. Be secure in yourself and get the situation fixed in a manner you seem best. Don't come on to the Aries board and complain about Aries people in your life and call the Aries in your life insecure when you are running on about your life here.

You seem to be not well liked by a few people in the office. Welcome to the world. Even the best or seemingly best get friction at work. If you honestly believe you didn't sleep your way to the top, and that you prepared your "sub-ordinates" best then go make that clear. All I hear from you is that a manager agrees with you, therefor you are the best.

I guess a nicer way of putting all this is: You think Aries people in your office think you are not a good manager. And that because they are Aries that makes them worse than anyone else saying you suck. It might hurt more to you because Aries will get the conversation started and not sit around in fear to say anything. Either way, it isn't an Aries thing. And if you have insecurities about how everyone is treating you at work, why are you complaining about their insecurities. Sounds like you are full of yourself, if you are claiming to be perfect and everyone else is a loser.

yeah , if you mean gossiping about people behind their backs... then you are so right.

When it was time for her to speak up and tell me to my face, she didn't.Instead, she started crying, when she saw her plan backfired. She accussed me of sometime I didn't do. Sad, for her that the director that did it was also in the meeting...

I have nothing against Aries, people I just don't understand why,she is acting like this.And honestly her emotional issues is not my problem..And this is not a Aries thing but a people thing.

She became vulnerable and you pushed her away. She admires you...which is a compliment in my opinion. Say thank you and keep it moving.

Nobody can take your job away if you??re good at what you do no matter what you teach her. A team is only as good as its players. TEAM??_not a one man show.





Maybe... But too late for that now.

I was giving her everything she needed to take over from me. Took her to board meetings,took her overseas with me. Made sure people knew that she is my stand-in when I am not in the office.Send her to conferences and training. I really liked her and knew with the right tools , she would do a very good job.

If she waited a bit longer ,she could have run the department . As,I had every intention of recommending her for a senior position .As, I am leaving the country in 3 - 4 months.

I report to the directors.

She didn't know that I gave her good recommendations... So, she really messed it up for herself.

If she was gossiping and backstabbing (as you claim) how could you NOT know she was unhappy? My concern here is the finger pointing from YOUR end and your lack of informing a sub-ordinate (who admired you) that you thought highly of her work performance and gave positive recommendations.

You are/were her supervisor, and although you may have trained her to be your "stand-in/replacement", I hear nothing of what actions you took in order to help her maintain her performance or correct her actions, other than you "got rid of her as your sub-ordinate"

So, don't come in here ranting and looking for advice while you only offer up ONE side of the story. And if was bothering you that much, you should have addressed it on the spot instead of holding it in.

I am only speaking from experience.

I have seen many a case where people get away with everything. Mind you I have usually seen them not even get worked up about firing someone, not thank anyone, not give the time of day to their best employee. As a member of the boards I truly respect you and your situation, Bella.

BUT!

I know enough to know that when I am having a spat with someone that I am actually in it to settle it / fight it out, not gonna even try to make it out like I am absolutely innocent of all wrong-doing and that participating in an argument with someone isn't gonna have repercussions. You have every right to do as you please. But doesn't mean all Aries are gossiping people out to ruin your work life. Oh we can gossip just like any other human being. But usually we are ones to get the facts straight and only gossip when others are discussing matters, not to be out to get someone screwed over. If any Aries is trying to screw up your life at work, they honestly think you did something unimaginable. If you can rectify that situation then all will go back to normal, but it isn't like they are judging you without someone telling them about you or seeing it first hand.

I know you are being sincere and representative as possible Bella. I give you free reign to hate any Aries you want, I just wanna tell you that bringing up some kind of image that they are out to get you and gossip behind your back because they just hate you for no reason and that is how an Aries behaves, I am not gonna let slide. I totally think if you were a fly on a wall and watched Aries work in various conditions it would have you thoroughly impressed.
