my moms bday is March 27th. usually, she doesnt like for us to make a big fuss about it. but my younger brother called me today and said mom wants a big blow out for her bday. im like wtf. i think its because of the medical problems she has been having. idk. so now im in full gift and party mode. i only have six days. my brothers a useless....they keep texting me, "sis what you got going on for moms bday", "sis, you need any $ $ $ for my bday set up", "sis where are YOU going to have mom's bday party bash".

sometimes i hate being the only girl. i swear!!!!

like i said mom NEVER in my life made a big deal about her bday. we usually just took her out to dinner and bought her gifts/gift cards (brother pff).

What do you ladies think of this ?

she is an interior decorator. so the first thing she is going to notice is something out of place and not right.

i booked her a room at favorite hotel. she can go to the hotel monday night and be pampered all day on tuesday.
so i got that taken care of.

i know she wants to dance, she likes dancings so im trying to get a playlist set up,

the food, her fav is seafood,

its going to be 150+ people, im still getting confirmations,

i know she would want a new outfit so im working on that..

im still trying to get her bff to come from the carolinas no answer from her yet, since its on a week day, it may be inconvenient 😢.

i couldnt schedule anything on the weekend because they had no rooms available.

im not a party planner and im freaking out. anyone with planning experience?? did i forget something?

Good on you. Sounds like you have it all under control. Shes gonna be rapt. Oh and my sons try to get my daughter onto the pressy for me also, prefering to just throw in the $ $ . I always tell them not to do anything also but quietly between you and i I love it when they do. Lol Let us know how it goes. My bdays the day after

Girl! You just about made me cry with your description of all you've done for your Mom's birthday! You have got to be the sweetest daughter ever, and I would be elated if someone went to all that trouble for me.

I have to say, my favorite part of the entire celebration would be the hotel/pampering day. I always feel like I am in such a rush all the time- and having an entire day to be pampered would be absolutely amazing.

yay my moms bff (my godmother) is coming. 🙂 now i have to make some hotel arrangements for her and she can get pampered with my mom on her bday. 🙂 this is all coming together. i'm a happy girl....woot woot.

my bro is giving mom a mini shopping spree so her bff will be there for that on monday. she will pick her up and take her to the hotel for me.

and thanks everyone for letting me know im on the right track. it really means a lot that this goes well. 🙂

i've never seen her smile so much. she was so happy. she was out there on the dance floor wiggling her hips,and snapping her fingers. 🙂

she was surprised about the party. and at all the people that came. her family from the south came too. i was worried i didnt have enough food, but the hotel had more than enough food out. so everyone ate well.

lol she just thought she was going to have a spa day, go to the casino, and spend the night in luxury. she didnt expect a party. 😄

thanks everyone. she said this was the best party ever. 😄
