I noticed aries tend to attract psychopaths...why do you think this is? Is it because we're generally perceived as friendly people so people think we're approachable and naive?

yeah I guess that's what people assume. I am friendly, but not because I trust the person, I trust my own intentions, if that even makes sense.

that's interesting you say that. No its not that I care about the perceptions, I just discuss things out of curiosity (I have a cap moon like you btw). Aries is also an intellectual sign like gemini, so sometimes I find myself just talking about things for the sake of it, conceptually. You are entitled to your opinion though, and I respect that.

No I'm a Leo sun. I said that maybe from my perspective in dealing with a particular Aries, he was 1st decan but I get the sense that he lets other's opinion influence him. I love Aries male energy cause I'm crazy and they're crazy, Aries males and Leo men and women know how to live life outside of the box,we're not confined to "standards". We can appreciate it, live by it, but not be confined to it.

lol @ yikes. I've learned to embrace my earth influence. I'm mostly fire and earth. Earth is actually the only element that has all the other elements in it, so it can actually coincide with fire as long as you know how to use it effectively. I grew up with that internal battle. Due to my square aspect, I always fought with myself. As an Aries sun and Cap moon, I internalize a lot of emotion and try to analyze it. It used to become draining, but I think overtime I've learned to do it in a healthy way.

It's a double edged sword. Aries can be used by some for their outgoing, social nature (i.e. unwanted attention, users, etc.) but I notice that it also creates many opportunities related to putting themselves out there.

For example, when going over the books with my Aries boss, I noticed a list of about 10 to 15 people that owe him money..anywhere from 300 or 400 hundred dollars to around 2G's. He's helped people with rent and car repairs and many seem to be quite slow in repaying his generosity but it's not a stress for him. He doesn't hold onto grudges and keeps moving forward. So it looks like these people used him, but his generosity and non-judgemental, friendly behavior has allowed him to make connections and attract business to the point where those 'loans' pale in comparison to the successful business he's created from giving people the benefit of the doubt.

yeah I used to lend my scorpio friend money all the time, and I guess she developed a sense of entitlement. I've learned it to say no now. Even though I have something, doesn't mean I should always give it away.

If anything, I feel like psychopathic people have a bit of an Aries feel to them. They can be manipulative but almost in a semi-desperate, highly driven I-just-gotta-get-this-moving kind of way that reminds of Aries. Psychopaths honestly seem like t hey have Aries traits on steroids---extremely straightforward, no cares in the world, highly self-centered, etc.

I have noticed this! People who consider themselves cynical "realists" do this to me because I tend to be optimistic and enthusiastic about ideas rather than real life folks. So it's easy for me to see ways out of the "real life" traps people get themselves into by taking life too seriously.

Yeah, I've actually been reading a bit about sociopathy/psychopathy recently. A social scientist once described it as the extreme end of masculinity because psychopaths don't have the conscience or moral inhibitions that stop most people from doing certain things. As a result of that, they also tend to not have problems with anxiety, self-doubt, and guilt or remorse. They just do what they want when they want it in the most efficient way possible. It's part of the reason why they tend to be successful in high-stress jobs. The ones that are smart enough to stay out of prison seem to have super hyped up Aries traits.

Yeah, it's funny because these same people will call me naive but then will constantly stick around to get my opinion about problems they're having (knowing that I'll probably have a positive view on it; that's just how I am). And later on, I'll catch them espousing some of the same ideas I had.

I think people who do this are probably on the depressive/realist side emotionally but still want a bit of optimism and that childlike energy that Aries supposedly has. They remind me of adults who spend all their lives doing shit they hate until they finally reach middle age and have a love affair with someone who makes them feel excited about life again. I feel like that's how some people with strong Aries energy can function for some folks.

I don't loan people money.

If I ever do anything along those lines, I'm doing it in "gift" status because I know they won't pay me back.


Otherwise, it's specific friends who if say one drives, one will offer up gas money or pay for lunch to make up for gas money since the other drove. Or one does it to be nice and pick up the tab, knowing the other will return the favor at another time.

But if someone is like "omg loan me $ xxx, because sob story" the answer will be no.

I tend to attract a lot of Aries does that make me a psychopath ... I always thought they were the psychopaths ³

I give Pisces sun as the most likely to be a psychopath, especially the males. i always see threads about them cheating on their partners and trying to get back together.
