Do you have any friends that you don't talk to as much over conversation issues? Like every time they ask you for something to talk about, they turn around and find a way to drag it right back to the same subject/channel they are always stuck on? And you're sick to death of their obsession with it..

Then it starts feeling like a trap 😕

So you're always quiet and boring on purpose, and talk to them less.

I don't try to talk to them less, but change the subject again and again because I can converse on a multitude of subjects with genuine interest. I understand where you're coming from though, and it is annoying to be around someone like that.

How do you do that when they talk so long? And their tone is always very urgent about it..

While I'm sitting there thinking "just shoot me" or looking at my phone mouthing stuff. Lol ugh.

It helps to have a planets in Gemini which I do. Talking and changing subjects comes easily to me as well as never taking anyone else too seriously if I choose not to. If a person like the one you describe sees that they're just not getting to you, they'll often give in and find someone else to harangue.

In my situation anything I say is reverted right back to their subject. They'll say it's all part of it.. Whatever "it" is. Then right back to their rinse, cycle, repeat. If I persist, they'll call it all a distraction by "them"… or whoever.

I always accidentally zone out when I'm uninterested in what somebody is saying, and they usually just stop talking.

I have more prominent gemini and air than they do, in very important placements. I'm fire and air dominant, and the percentages are only a few decimals from being tied.
