They say "Good Things Come To Those Who Wait" but maybe not all those who wait are "Good People" I often wonder if our "Road Of Life" is planned for us. Or can we really "Make Our Own Destiny"?
i believe we can take certain paths of our (free choice) towards fate. I really don't believe too much in coincidence. Everything happens for a reason and a season..
Yes, but, not in the way in which most people interpret it. Fate is exclusive .. not inclusive with a mass design. That's where choice comes in.
"They say "Good Things Come To Those Who Wait" but maybe not all those who wait are "Good People""
Yes, I believe this, and whether people are good or bad has no relevancy to what comes ... for Bad things come to those who wait, also, irrespective of whether the waiter is good or bad, as a person. We wait to come to us, what we call for = our personal fate. During this waiting period ... we "think" about it = it comes = fate
"I often wonder if our "Road Of Life" is planned for us."
Yes, it is planned = fate. This planning, though, doesn't come from a mass design in which we have no control ... our planning happens every moment, even now .. as you have "thoughts" about what is in your future.
"Or can we really "Make Our Own Destiny"?"
Yes, we can .. there is no either/or ... your fate and destiny, your planned road of life = the same thing.
We create it with each passing thought, and as this road is paved for us by our own choices .. we create our destiny .. so what fate lies ahead for us to endure/rejoice in, in the end .. comes from the sole creation of how we designed our life to live each day.
we shape our own fate by our actions or inactions whichever applies at the time.there are no coincidences in life, everything happens for a reason even if we don't necissarily lke or approve of it at the time. at one time everyone i knew swore that the guy i was married to was to last forever that it was fate..well guess what..i got royally upset one night and kicked his butt out..we are now divorced..so much for fate..but again a chain of actions caused this to happen..if we hadn't fought and i hadn't kicked him out then events might have been very different..so in the end we choose our own fate.
The trouble is, as humans we all make mistakes which we later regret, and the concequences of those mistakes can effect part of our fate. Ive often heard it said "i wish i could rub it all out and start again"
"I always say that everything happens for a reason" My sister swears by those words, but what was the reason if its something that makes you depressed or sad? We assume its gonna be for a good reason, but it would seem thats not always the case
No, I do not believe in fate or god. I believe things happen at random. If someone gets hit by a car, its not fate, They were just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Not fate, just luck. Again, a random thing. If you believe in fate, that means you believe in fate in all cases regardless if the situation is good or bad; For example, you can't tell me a 5 year old child getting kidnapped, raped, and killed is fate. She was at the wrong place at the wrong time.... bad luck..... but was it really "fate"...was it meant to be?? Hell no, and if anyone says "yes", that's extremely offensive especially for those kids who have had that happen to them.
we all have destinies, but we are given choices to make.... fate presents us with those choices and we go from there. I believe also in reincarnation - and the choices we make in this life affect our future lives because we have lessons to learn and if we don't make the "right" decisions in this lifetime, we will be presented with those choices again in our next lifetime. Soul mates [twin souls] are an excellent example of how fate and free will interact - you can meet your soul mate and make decisions that take you down a different path, or you could do somehting to hurt that person - you will meet them again in the next life, and have another chance to make the choice to be with them, and to balance the karmic scales if necessary. One could also argue that you have more than one fate - that the reason we are presented with choices is because these are different fates that we choose from - kind of like a "choose your own adventure" book.
hi th is my first time on this site im a libra also and ive been waiting for the right woman in my life for a minute and at the same time ive been masterbating a whole lot so i dont know maybe the man upstairs is punishing me for that what u think
i believe in fate ,i think our lives are planned out for us but we are given several paths to follow ,you know when your on the right path because your heart sings,we meet people for a reason,a season or a lifetime
I agree with xangelfishx, I believe in re-incarnation and twin souls. Not quite sure why, cos i prefer 'Science' to 'Spirituality' talk, but something makes me want to 'believe' in something out there, playing a part in our lives.
I got a question for you all! Honestly guys, think of a time when something really amazing happened to you. I mean so amazing you never would have imagined it in your whole life. And the best part of it was it was totally unexpected. Recall that moment and try and capture the essence of how you felt at the time.
Now on the contrary, think of the worst thing you've had had happen to you in your life so far. Think how torn up or messed up, or upset, or guilty or confused you felt at that time. The times you question yourself 'what did I do to deserve this feeling?". Think about it.
Now answer the following question as honestly as you can... Which did you learn more or take more from? the good thing or the bad thing....
but maybe not all those who wait are "Good People"
I often wonder if our "Road Of Life" is planned for us.
Or can we really "Make Our Own Destiny"?
