Interesting! I'll agree with MellyMel. Most hiphop artists are air suns. Rock music, rough and rebellious, but everlasting. Nothing was able to kick this genre off the charts since 1950s. Stable as earth. I can imagine listening to jazz while the rain is falling down. Tho a lot of metal singers seem to be water suns, esp. Pisces. And punk superficially screams "I'm here to fuck shit up!" so it fits 😛

I thought Water would be some kind of alternative music.... 😆 Air could be trance or any type of electro music. At the same time, they could be that stuff people listen to when practicing yoga and whatever genre Enya is part of.

Earth is difficult, though perhaps because I am of that element and while mostly a metalhead, there are others I like and I am basing my choices on my opinion based on what I've seen..... maybe Earth could be the organized chaos that is classical music with its beautiful soft and calm sounds that suddenly erupt into loud urgent and aggressive sounding and fast music that fills the building. As mentioned, Fire could be punk.

Air: punk or electronic
Earth: classical, folk or country
Water: reggae (lover's rock), blues or new world
Fire: heavy metal/classic rock, pop or reggae (dance hall)

Oops, why?

Air: I think of music without boundaries or rules, social and bright.
Earth: I think of music that is traditional and reflects "old school" values.
Water: I think of music that stirs your emotions and makes you want to hold someone tight or cries in a dark room
Fire: I think of music that is strong, assertive, purposeful and "free".

Country is too fucking whiny to be Earth. When I was subjected to that horrid sound, all I heard was people complaining. In fact, when this deaf guy got that thing that lets them hear, he said he most look forward to listening to music(good man!!)and upon being asked which he DIDN'T like, I laughed my ass off because he said country music sounds like people crying(and that IS what it is). So all you people blabbing about emo and shit like that, I suppose emo is Rock's answer to Country.

My judgment's based on the beat and not on the lyrics coz lyrics tend to variate depending on the song written and not on the genre, so here it goes:

fire - rock n' roll, metallic rock, glam rock
air - some oozing jazz, reggae, country => feel good music
water - soft rock, r&b, disco music
earth - alternative rock, post-grunge rock

classical songs would depend upon the beat of the music. there's too many classical songs to fit them into only one element.
