I remember Tiz's thread about fears, and I vehemently stated that I don't have any. There is one. I experience it a little all of the time, and excessively on at other times.

Well, the other night, during the lunar eclipse, I was near panic and doom.

I'm terrified of the Moon. Just literally terrified, when it's over head. As much as I realize the moon is always around ... it's only when it's high over top of me that I lose my shit, and I cover my head. In fact, I think I've mentioned this in here before ... this fear of the moon.

Anyway .... did anyone else feel afraid during the eclipse? Is anyone else afraid of it?

I mean there are cases where people fear extremely large objects. I remember watching somthing when I was a kid and these people had to cover this chick with a blanket because they were walking past some large ships, and the large mass of them would make her turn pale and pass out.

Maybe this is related. A fear of immensely large uncontrollable objects. Thats totally what she said also.

Out of curiosity, is this a fear of the moon in general, in all lunar phases or particularly just during full moon phases? And does it only tend towards night when the moon is illuminated or also during days when it's evident in the sky?

There is always a sense of foreboding around me all the time, in knowing that the moon is always there. But, as with all things, life brings distractions and a person doesn't always walk around worried about these things.

But, when I can see the moon, it's not really that the feeling is stronger, rather, now I'm paying it more mind because I can see it. When it's bright and full is the worst. So bad that, like I said, I have to cover myself, or go to an inner room of the house.

There's something about the moon that is really frightening to me.
