Standing up for yourself or asserting yourself may be a challenge, as it can stimulate fears of being ineffective when Mars is retrograde at birth. There might often be roundabout ways of going after your desires. The desire nature runs deep, but is often misunderstood by others. I would say Mercury retrograde is fairly accurate

Like what? There's not a whole lot out there on natal retrogrades that I could find. What I did find all seemed to say the same thing.

See this info is so lacking in the general sphere of knowledge. This is an area poorly researched and oft never mentioned in the general literature.
But it is very important to those affected.
