the first time you met

i know the exact date when my boyfriend and i first met so i put that date into the natal chart thing on cafeastrology because i thought it would be interesting to see what was going on in the sky at that time. I liked finding out that on the first day we met the moon was in Libra, and both Gemini and I have Libra moons 🙂 anywho, i did some googling and it turns out this kind of chart gets made all the time and it has an official name and stuff but why exactly is something like this relevant? i suppose it could be for the same reason that people fret over venus turning retrograde but i wonder if there is an ideal situation, or something that sticks out like a red flag. anybody have any experience?

gee, i wish i remembered dates sometimes. i was just telling my bf about this the other night. i notice that a lot of girls i know are stickler for remembering dates and many get upset at their partners (assuming they're attached) if they forget. take anniversaries for example... i've never remembered when my SO and i made it official. i only remember the time of year, season, or perhaps month around when it happened. i do like celebrating anniversaries but only on an annual basis.

anyway, i only wish i remembered so i can look it up to see what was happening in the universe at the time as well. i'm pretty sure that we met at the end of june in 2009 so maybe i can just google it. or maybe it was mid-june. bah, it was june nonetheless. i can at least research the positions of planets that don't move too quickly.

Jupiter Retrograde June 16 - October 13, Mars-Venus Conjunction June 18 - June 25, New Moon in Gemini June 22.

These weren't exactly prime aspects for falling in love... and i didn't. It wasn't love at first sight with my current bf. It was very friendly and very platonic feeling. I thought he was cute, and he thought I was too, but we weren't thinking of hooking up with each other at the time. Actually, I didn't consider him an actual possibility until that winter. My head and heart was somewhere else entirely while he waited for me to come around.

One must consider that this was our first meeting. The second round was much more exciting and this is when I saw the attraction between us establish roots. It happened to be on a particular night when his band was playing. I looked it up just now and saw that our 2nd time together had much better positioning to help us out.

It was July 13th, 2009. Mercury Transits Gemini July 1 - July 15, Venus Transits Taurus July 1 - July 26, Mars Enters Taurus July 4. Venus and Mars transiting through Taurus was lovely indeed. In fact, that's when my current bf took real notice of me as well as his Taurus close friend. It was from this night onward when my relationships with the 2 were cementing.

sami- i wouldn't say love at first sight but i saw him and i knew what was going to happen and i knew i was going to be with him even before he started talking to me. i 100% felt like i already knew him even though he was a perfect stranger.

what's interesting is that every time something new in the relationship happened, it was on a new moon; the first time we met, our first date, when he wanted to be exclusive...ALL new moons. maybe a coincidence but i like to think that when you let things happens naturally, the universe works with you. although, quote me on that when things are going shitty and i might throw something at you!


ninja- i think both times were significant. you guys didn't force anything at first contact because something was "off" and chances are if you did, it probably would have turned out to be a disaster. its hard to say what was different the second time around but look at you, remembering an exact date 😉

Ha! I didn't remember. I had to look it up on his old band's website to get the exact date. Even then, I had to extract it from a blog because they didn't archive the dates in which they played. 😛

Hmmm, well I know that I met my boyfriend the first day of sixth grade, but that was seven years ago.
I'm too lazy to go delving into that especially since it wasn't a love at first sight sort of thang. 😉
