Orbs in synastry. I don't get it. Someone help!

if it's 8-10 deg or under, it's significant.

like, if your a sag 5deg and you meet a guy who is sag at 29deg, there's no sun conjunction even though your suns are in the same sign. you two will be similar but it won't be a strong connection. he'll definitely be a sag but you'll be able to see aspects of one another's decans far more clearly.

so you're both sags but you're first decan, he's 3rd. you're similar but dissimilar.

now if you're 5deg and he's 12deg...there's a difference of 7deg. it's now significant. where you're first and he's 2nd decan, you are now conjunct. his sun and your sun are close enough to astrological "communicate."

the closer you get to 0deg difference, the stronger the conjunction or whatever aspect in synastry. in other words, the power of those planets strengthen, the closer the orb gets to zero and "diminishes" the further you get away.

So, like all of our aspects are 3 deg and under...does that mean it's more intense? Good/Bad

it means that they're all strong, but then you pay attention to what the aspects are.

if you have a strong opposition, that's obviously bad (usually).

if you have a strong conjunction, that's good (usually).

It is hard if both people don't want to make the first move; trust me, I know that better than anybody. Some signs are so much stronger than others, and it just comes to a battle of wills when two strong willed signs (and personalities) come together. I'm the first to admit that I hate giving in 😢 I feel they should do what I want to do, and that they should be happy to do it 🙂 NOT to say I don't compromise, but in the beginning they gotta' do some work!

you two have a lot of good aspects within your charts. what you should do however is focus on the negative aspects initially. research each of the squares and oppositions. research the houses for those planets that comprise the square opposition.

the negatives will tell you where you and he are at an impasse and how you can go about rectifying any resistance.

if you do this for each of the negative aspects, you will have a clearer understanding of the challenges you will face in your relationship...or why you have yet to get to the point of being in one.

I know but I hate rejection (Leo moon)
If I just came out and told him how I felt and asked him if he liked me too...and let's say he does, but he's not that into me, or not as much as I like him... and he tried to lie or be nice about it and be like, "of course..."
I would know he was bullshitting me and I would feel like ew like you need to protect my feelings.

My ascendant is in Leo, so I abhor rejection too, plus combined with my general Taurus nature of not trusting people...umm yeah, I completely understand where you are coming from; however, one of you is going to have to do something or you will be in a holding pattern until one of you is just like, "F@ck it and leaves" OR one of you man's up and just takes the lead. Let the chips fall where they may. When I was younger, I would always think of what the worse thing could happen in any given situation, and if I could live with the worse case scenario, then I would just forge ahead. Don't get me wrong, I TOTALLY get where you are coming from, but sweetie, you are young, so as the Nike ad says, "JUST DO IT!"

when his planets are in houses that are favorable (with respect to your chart), they will have a profound impact over you in a positive/soulful way. in houses that they don't do so well in, you will generally feel uneasy/controlled around this person with respect to the issues of that house.

mars in virgo is also a good read too. this is how he will appear to you with respect to 6th house concerns - health and work.

so you would probably feel that he is critical/controlling of you with respect to the above issues. but you also have to take into consideration other elements of your chart. like if your sun/moon was in your 6th house, you'd have to figure out how your sun/moon and his mars interact, then take into account house placements and such. reason being, your sun/moon are far more significant than his mars but eh...

overall, it's as if his sun/moon owns your house and the issues related to that house.

sorry! it's as if his *planet owns your house and the issues related to that house. the more significant the planet, the more it will feel as if he's imposing that house's concerns upon you.

so in the case of his mars, he'd probably critique your diet, your weight, exercise, work ethic, etc... this could be good IF his mars is in a favorable sign and his mars has favorable synastry between your charts (mars conjuncts and trines vs oppositions and squares).

I don't think it sounds right at all tbh. He's really not that type. He's very laid back.
I might not have his birth time right though. I know it was in the morning for sure. But an hour can make a difference.

His Venus in Cancer really throws me off.
He comes off so LEO with his Sun, moon, and mercury in Leo. (Maybe even rising, though I can't be 100% sure.)

Most of the time he's all loud and outgoing, likes to be in the spotlight, absolute attention whore.
But then again, when you get him alone, he's low-key, gentle, and considerate.
He loves his mom, likes to look at family pictures and reminisce.

He seems open. But he's not. He's very private and guarded.

It's so bizarre. I don't even know how to react to him.
