Posted by MontgomeryWell, because planets are always somewhere even if they're retrograde and we see that in our charts but void of course as I see it means the moon has definitely moved out of one sign but not yet entered the next so if you're going to be 100% accurate, you can't tell someone the moon is in the next sign when it isn't there yet. Technically it's just hanging in space like a retrograde planet.
I didn't know thats what it meant.
How can that be true for the moon and
not other planets?
😕

Posted by tizianiTiz, why is it not considered important? I don't consider it important as it happens during my day to day life. A void of course moon is okay with me but I'm doing a chart for someone who I suspect had a natal void of course moon and I just want to be accurate.
From what I've seen it's not considered important in natal. I have a void of course Moon.
It's mostly used for mundane astrology and transits because it's meant to be a period of intense calm for everyone.
The most I ever found on natal was this link between VOC Moons and Presidential nominees (Hilary Clinton has one).

Posted by tizianiThis is the first time I've ever tried to do a chart for someone and suspected a void of course moon. Since I know him, I think I'll place his moon in the sign it's travelling to which is Cancer. I don't know how professionals handle this, but I think it's best. It will give him something solid to build upon and since I do know him I know it's somewhat accurate, he does react to life emotionally like a Cancer moon would. If I were doing this for a complete stranger, I don't know how I'd handle it which is why I'm not even a semi professional astrologer.Posted by SeasonI think basically because no one really knows how to interpret it as a character trait. At the most, I've read it makes someone calm and there are plenty of other explanations for that.Posted by tizianiTiz, why is it not considered important? For the newbies, a moon is considered void of course when it has left one sign, but not yet entered the next zodiac sign. When the moon leaves a sign, there's always a transition time, of a few hours usually, to as much as a day or more. If you happen to be born at such a time your moon is considered void of course.
Since the moon is so important in our charts representing our emotional selves and how we react to others and the world around us, how do we interpret a void of course moon so it makes sense??
TIA BTW
