Confused by a cancer man

Can some Pisces girl in relationship with a cancer man tell me how to pick on any tell tale signs he’s invested in building a relationship. I have a gut feeling about this guy and being a Pisces I really trust my gut feelings. But some of his words and actions are misleading. I need help!

From my experience as a pisces girl in relationship with a cancer man.. its not wrong what they say about crab. . And being direct with them may not help. In normal circumstances, i would ask the guy where he at with the relationship but with sensitive - hard to figure out cancers . . I would like to take some time putting my thoughts to him one by one starting with a day somehow make them prepared for the conversation without being too direct.

Now when you say 'invested in building a relationship', I am assuming that you are in early stage of relationship.

It took me a LOONG time to get together with a pisces gal, we were friends for like YEARS and she had a aries venus. I was very shy, she was one of the first girls i ever dated. i dont have any advice for you, sadly, it's up to the crab to make his move, at least that's what it was like for us.

Tell tale signs.... I would say nothing in my experience.

I came to know this guy in late Oct 2018, met a couple of times more until Dec and once in those two instances, stayed with him for 5 continuous days. It was sexual right from day 1 and nothing felt wrong. Nothing to me at least. We discussed it later after 4 -5 months and he felt the same. So after Jan 2019, it was on and off, and we didnt speak for around 2 months in total. We met up when I made him realise it was almost 6 months that we had met and I went again to his place. No inclination from him to visit mine, mainly coz I have a daughter.

After 2 months of silence, I was in US travelling, minding my own business, thinking of nothing about him, he messages me that he has lost his job. And we texted on and off until I came back after 3 weeks. And then the conversation started. The real deep ones, the ones that tell you the insider story of a cancerian man. He opened the floodgates. Till date we have talked for 945 hours, all late nights, and sexed on phone more than once. To answer your question, he has done nothing to make me feel he is making an effort at all. But he always tell me that I have been on his mind 24 7. He has revealed his fears, inner deep thoughts, his ambitions, his plans and future. Nothing that involved me.

Come Jan 2020, he now is talking of gifting me. Well, I have a diamond necklace and a gold one. One is my choice, (he asked me to choose) and one his.

His conversations and plans revolve around visiting me, and he has cancelled them for a total of 9 times. No apology. Just cancelled.

We now, havent met for almost 7 months, and I have always made myself available whenever he wanted to talk.

He still hasnt found a job and my gut feel is that he will see me when he is again working.

All the effort I would say is: He spoke a lot about his thoughts and feelings for me. He has always texted me first. He takes a break of 4 -5 days between texts. And is always upbeat while talking to me. I visited him last year (he is still jobless that time) - he did welcome me home, great sex again, but he didnt want me around.

Back in April, he confessed he loves me. And then said it again after 10 weeks. I dont know if I should believe it or not. It took him 18 months to confess. What is next?
