Are Crabs Romantic?

I consider myself to be rather romantic and love being on both the receiving and giving end. My crab bf on the other hand, while he loves to be on the receiving end of romantic gestures - he seems to have no clue how to give them.

So I'm curious. How do crabs (male and female) generally feel about romantic gestures?

I guess I assumed that because they're so emotional that being romantic would come naturally 🙂

Depends on what and how you showed romance to him. What types of things/gestures have you shown him?

I've hidden little notes with affectionate messages for him to find, surprised him with candlelit dinners, gave him homemade greeting cards - things like that - little things - nothing elaborate or expensive. Basically I do for him the things that I'd enjoy. But now that I think about it, am I really expecting him to copy my ideas now? LOL.

This actually makes sense. I can totally see him being afraid of somehow disappointing me.

Romance to me is a drug that I would O.D. on if it were possible. I "discovered" my inclinations for romance, it was not necessarily born into me. I imagine there are not too many crabs out there that don't appreciate it, but it does not mean that they understand it intellectually; thus, not being able to shower their partners in it.

I missed this before, it's just lovely and he must feel really lucky when you do things like this. I cringe at anything mushy or too affectionate, but when shown to me I secretly love it despite cringing. I think if I've been with someone for long enough I might relax more and feel more at ease with it and then start to do nice things like this, but my guard is so high I expect that might take maybe a year, if not more. It's not a bad thing all round, because I believe that reserving a part of yourself/ what you desire to express for a later date can make the prospect of being with someone for a long time seem more exciting.

Thanks. 🙂 I do these kinds of things only once in a while - not regularly. I think the element of the unexpected is what makes it particularly romantic - and fun.

I do cringe at romance novels and mushy "chick flicks". They tend to be a little over the top. To the outside world, I definitely don't come across as someone who is particularly romantic and even some people who know me well are surprised when they find out how much I do enjoy romance - even how much I love hand-holding, cuddling, etc.

Me:
Moon = Virgo
Venus = Aries
Mars = Taurus

Him:
Moon = Virgo
Venus = Gemini
Mars = Aquarius

What does it mean?

It's possible. I don't have his birth time so planet placements I looked up might not be accurate. Why do you ask? Is your moon in Virgo? Mine is. (I do know my birth time).

I was wondering if his placements were similar to mine in any way but they aren't really. I think it's great that you both have moon in virgo, it's a nice compatibility factor. Someone with mars in taurus would definitely strike me as probably being more comfortable with showing romantic gestures. With an airy venus and mars I would expect he might be better at verbally expressing himself in plenty of different ways, being a natural charmer and being more spontaneous.
Also, Aquarius is thought to be not a particularly romantic sign by some, but how true that actually is is anyone's guess and may differ from person to person. 🙂.

He is definitely better at expressing himself verbally than I am. I think I do the gestures in part because it's easier for me to express my feelings that way rather than by saying them. (But I think we're both afraid of being the first to say, "I love you.")
