Cancer guy's perfect friend

What does that mean? He said I am his perfect and best friend. He does not want to date me, so its hurtful to me. But why would you say it someone who is in love with you? "You are the person I never want to leave, I am so much afraid to lose you".

So I am permanently in friend zone?

He has been hurt by few women in the past but I don't want to be another one. My problem is I have to stay away from him as I love him. But then he is still trying not to end our love - friendship whatever you may say.

I just don't like him having sex with other girls casually. He is just not considering having a relationship with anyone. I am keeping myself away as its hurtful to me.
