Cancer/Virgo?

I know I've asked this in a different way, but any cancers out there that have virgo parent? The more and more I read about cancers, the more I think "wow, this kid better have some thick skin",,,,LOL! I am a virgo female/ my man is a Scorpio and we are expecting a Cancer child...
I'm not overly emotional, I'm very honest, critical, can be overpowering/controlling...Cancers seems so sensitive...although my Scorpio man is "sensitive" he keeps it pretty hidden. I have a feeling I'll have to soften a bit.

The only advice I can give you is to try and not be overly critical. Your child will take it very personally. Other than that, I think it's good that you are an earth sign cos you will be more grounded for your child. Oh...and remember that cancers are quite lazy about things. They need their sleep and they don't like being rushed. I know most virgo's are clean freaks (which isn't a bad thing LOL!) but cancers tend to be more 'dis-organized'. This is something my mother & I have argued about over and over again. She is a gemini and she's very methodical about things. Like her housework. Wakes up @ 5am, does the laundry, cleans the bathroom, washes the floor, makes the bed etc... and this never changes! Me..eh, If the laundry goes for a few days without being done, no big deal. We just have different tempermants. This isn't something you need to worry about with an infant probably more for when your cancer becomes a teen LOL! What is your due date??

I had a Virgo dad. Very critical of his children, however I had a very nurturing mother (Libra sun w/ pisces moon) who counteracted all that crap so I'm still very normal. LOL

And congratulations! Cancer children are very affectionate.

I have a virgo mother and she was great....true enough she was overly controlling in some ways...that would be the main thing to watch out for in a cancer child. People dwell on cancers being emotional but often forget about cancer's strength and also intuition. Cancers hate being controlled and told what to do. Your virgo influence will provide great structure and standards for the cancer child....but if you try to weild your influence too much as the child grows older they will grow away from you and begin to spoon feed you limited information and may even move far away from you in order to take your power away (or to just not have to always hear the nagging attempts to control)....

Pretty informative.. I've been putting all these tid-bits aways in my head. Due June 28...Funny, we'll have 2 water signs in the house..my man is a Scorpio. The messiness, yes -- that will be a HUGE adjustment,..LOL! The affection will be great..that's not my BIG strong suit, so I've been working on it.

You may feel differently when it's your child that wants to cuddle with you and hug you. My brother is not very affectionate and now he has a Pisces child who all day wants to hug and kiss. He doesn't understand her but it softens him.

I was simply curious, like to get other people's perspectives -- that's pretty much it.. went to scorp. board, virgo board and cancer board -- like I said, I enjoy hearing other people's experiences. No deep seeded reason.
