Why does this young cancer do this to herself

My friend, like I once was is in a pretty rocky place with his Cancer, they haven't talked in about 2 months and I can tell they still do think about each other, she's a pretty close friend to me but is very "shellish" when it comes to talking about him and sometimes she'll act like she doesn't gove a damn.

Long story short, early this morning maybe around 3AM he texts me saying she quoted a bunch of posts on her Facebook most of them talking about "moving on and letting go" then the very last quote she pulls up is one saying "thoughts can't move an inch without bumping into you, and I can't stop myself from constantly falling into you."


My thing is, just from reading those quotes myself..why does she hurt herself like that. I've noticed the behavior in the past and she's been off social media for a while then it's like she pops up after a while and makes those post..


It's like she's stuck in a Matrix lol.

Shes being dramatic.

It's quite sad, he'a going through the same shit I had to go through but it's really affecting him bad, never seen him drinking the way he is now.
