Are Capricorn people huge on financial security?

This is my first time on the Capricorn section on dxp. I bumped into a friend from almost 10 years ago, now he's bringing in 6 figures. Got me thinking, I have an ex and one more person who pursued me for a couple years. Owning a business(es) and bringing in big money is a very important part of their lives. All hustlers, but not Aries like me who flaunts my success ( proud, and I'd be damned if I didn't express my excitement), rather more like its in their blood and its just what they do. Not to prove anything. Not because they're materialistic people. They work hard for it though. It's just understood to them that money comes with hard work. They put their mind to the grind, and have very realistic expectations of how much work should be put in. I never hear a complaint from these people. Actually, a very close friend of mine is a Capricorn, too. Hustler isn't exactly the right reference here either, not hoarders of money, no greed. They have nice expensive taste, but not flashy at all. Is this even a common observation of cappys?

then i realised, what is the point? i dont see any value in money anymore, what use of measure is it anymore?

We all know money measures nothing, but in this monetary society of borrowed value we call federal reserve notes.... It's a means that is meant to be taken advantage of. I use it to collect experiences, it enables me to focus on the more important things in life. If its something money can fix, it ain't a problem. 🙂. I have little worries in my life.

He maps out monthly plans to reach a particular goal. He is in the midst of a ten year plan to buy his first home and he won't settle for just a "starter" home he wants us to have a BIG house but he refuses to buy on borrowed credit. (smart man) he already calculated the overtime he will need to work the next ten years to reach it.

Mapping out goals gives us a much clearer picture of what we're aiming for. I wonder if your man is like this before or after he read Brian Tracy's Mastering your Time. If he hasn't, boy would he love you for it! I've been operating on all cash no credit since 2008, its a wonderful place to be.

that is called market economy

I know a TON of Capricorns, mostly male Caps, and none of them are flashy. Caps like attention, but LOVE respect. All of the males are workaholics, but I think Caps are pretty generous with money IF you are in need. We love to help. We also love not having to worry about if we'll be able to afford our necessities. It's not always about our wants, we can sacrifice what we want, but if we can't cover our needs, then that's a HUGE problem for a Cap, which can be why many work so hard to hopefully never be in that position.

Also, personally, I am a clearance/bargain shopper. If its not on sale then I don't want it. I think that if you carry yourself the right way then you can add quality to anything. I love being able to look nice with a $ 30 outift, including shoes and all. I go to expensive malls and see women who wear expensive clothes/shoes/handbags and shop in expensive stores, and still manage to look cheap. That bothers my spirit lol.

its because i wonder whether hiding the wallet will bring out a person's true colours. force people to focus on less superficial things, more personality and love philosophy

He is a saver though he LOVES shopping bargains but has exceptional taste, he doesn't do "cheap" quality stuff but has an eye for finding quality stuff on sale, in turn keeping his pockets fat 😛

financial stability is huge. dont care about money or having a big house though.

Again, we don't want to stress about our necessities. It's not about being with someone that's rich or wealthy and being a materialistic, flashy, gold-digging woman. It's more about knowing that someone is good with their money, they are not out blowing it, and knowing that that person will work and provide when the times get tough.

My Cap friend is the ultimate entrepreneur.

He grew up in the projects like me, with nothing. Started selling drugs while in HS. Made LOTS of money doing that.. stopped selling and turned that money legit by starting businesses. He went to college where he earned a degree in economics that he didn't even use for the first 5 years of having, because he was building his empire by being self employed. He never worked for anyone and instead had a number of small businesses, while building perfect credit and owning 2 homes before he was 30. He now works as a financial advisor and is very successful at it, and he still maintains his businesses.

He's generous, extremely smart and is actually writing a book on money management for the hood lol


Generally very serious about life. Never had a drink, never smoked, never tried any drug. Always finishes what he starts and is ALWAYS planning ahead with everything he does.

Yes, financial security is very important to me but I have no desire to become rich or anything like that...I just want to be able to live a fairly comfortable life where I don't have to constantly worry about where my next meal is coming from lol I obviously don't want to be a lazy, unmotivated bum but I also don't want to become greedy and lose perspective. Ultimately though, finding a job that I love is more important to me than how much I will be making on that job.

Money is not what is important, security and stability is!

Im a capricorn and have no financial security and have to accept it. Im disabled and on welfare with no security no pension prospects..no mortgage just renting. My wish for security manifests in developing family or my relationships. So the wish to be secure is the primary force ..the conclusion that money is important is a side effect and doesnt neccessarily follow.

Since capricorns follow logic you can always debate them a different outlook and it could work as long as its a way to feel secure or an alternative way to get security. Security is simply about the ground you stand on being rock hard and inshifting ie its about earth. Myself ive build logic in my mind that makes me feel secure. The ground u stand on can be mental or physical but developing this ground and making it more unshakeable is cappy priority

I dont look for wealth in partner no. In fact its very important to me to prove to a man that im not after him for his money. My own bargain hunting ways are projected onto the man such that I will ask him to buy the cheapest and try to make sure he goes awa with most of his money and not having lost any because of me. because Im a tightwad I project that onto the man accepting that he is a tightwad and giving him a pat on the back for being so...even if he isnt I will strive to make him one. So my interest in money makes me seek more a man who is careful with money than one who has money

Yes. Everything you said. I do know one that likes to "keep up with the Joneses" but he's the only cap I know like that.

Having a strong base is a must but that doesn't mean I put money before everything else. I will never stand at a store and bargain. I have seen people pick up coins from the ground but that's not my thing.

My Virgo buddy is always telling me how he is willing to step on people/friends for money but I rather loose little money instead of a family relationship/friendship.
