Capricorn, career, stress and relaxation....

What are the best careers/jobs for this sign because I am surrounded by them at work?
I work in health care, more particular mental health.
I am studying psychology focused on behavior analysis.
I have an affinity for this line of work.
The Goats I work with don't seem to have the patience nor the tolerance for this line of work but want the money.

They work a LOT but rarely take time off to deal with the stress this job can bring.
I have been advising my group leader to take her vacations and even gave her a spa pamphlet.

What is the best line of work for Goats and how do you deal with stress?
Anyone here work in healthcare?

Lawyer or fashion.

We dont know how to relax, all we do is work.

It takes a third party to come into our lives and force us to enjoy life and relax

When we relax we feel guilty like we should be working

I'm a comic book artist, that and I work at Wal-Mart as a side thing. Planning on quitting it and working at our city's Public Library since I've always loved books and it'll help with enlightening me.

One of my Cap friends is a musician if that helps. Guitarist and he's trying to get signed to a record label.

I work on the reimbursement side of healthcare.

Any aspect of healthcare is a stressful job and it is never ending, so no matter how hard you work, there's always more coming at you. You never get caught up. So, yes, you do have to take time for yourself and you do have to get away from it.

I am probably be better off on the financial or management side of healthcare because, honestly, though I'm compassionate, I don't have the patience to work with patients and I can be pretty intolerant for those patients that are noncompliant and won't help themselves.

But, a cap works hard so they can play hard. I want to be able to purchase the toys I want, be able to go and do what I want on my off hours so, there is a balance. Our kind of fun is just as energetic and productive as our work schedule.

(and a glass of wine or two at night is pretty dern relaxing)

It could be all the responsibility we feel that makes us not want to take off. For me, I learned with age to take care of myself and make sure I have some free time.

I admit that I don't.

Medicine, military, mom, politician, athletic, banker, manager, it sucks we don't kno how to relax! Lol we are always hungry !

I think some of us can be artists at heart, or desire more freedom than we let on.

I was going to post something about this yesterday, but I've noticed a lot of singers, makeup artists, youtube gurus, models, etc. with very supportive Cappie moms.

For a sign that's supposedly so career driven, or "business minded," I find it interesting to see Cappies support their children who choose more artistic careers. I remember wanting to attend school for Fashion Design and my mother saying that was basically a waste.

In reading a bit of The Artists Way, the author speaks about "shadow artists" and I believe that's what some Caps are.

Maybe some need help in realizing or developing a talent to relax. Hobbies like knitting use to help me.

This is not a bash thread.
My opinion is based on what I have seen. Hence "The goats I work with" comment.
One of the Goats that I work with is very artist and has a wonderful morbid sense of humor and appears to have the patience and doesn't appear to be as frustrated or stressed. Two of the Goats and I went to a Haunted prison last year.

I just wonder what would be a better fit.
I think there is something to this artist thing.
I will encourage my Group Leader to participate in more artistic endeavors, even though it's difficult with the group we have.

I think Goats have a very strong appreciation for the arts.
Even though the Goats I work with may not produce art with the exception of one, they do enjoy being around it. They just won't participate.
One actually said she is there to work smart not hard. 😆

Caps learn to relax only by the time they are old, before that its just tunnel-vision, stress and self-pity parties what they enjoy indulging in.

i kind of agree with you here. I see it in my mother in law. It's as if it's a driving force for her. Perhaps it is due to the "lack" of material things in early childhood. You never want to be POOR ever. It is a FEAR. but i feel that this is earth dominant as well. you never ever want to be poor!! you want to be secure in life. It doesn't matter if you're just middle income, but never ever be "Lack of".

by the time of retirement age and beyond, they are already secured in their retirement income and security. Also, with my cappy grandma, she was already secured even though she was a stay at home mother and wife, she worked hard! but all the properties were hers...the biggest problem were all the outside relatives, like her husband's brothers family members who were asking for some of the properties.

It is hell!! It stressed her out alot. Money and property even at old age is Terrible!! especially if you've got other family members who always want a "piece". Even though they have Plenty themselves.

having properties and money and such is STRESSFUL indeed. Vultures everywhere. My poor cappy grandma 😢

i just realised, my family members said that she got cancer from all the stress too. 😢

money and property...it can KILL you!! you have to make sure everything is by LAW yours. Yours alone and not given to the any of the family members who have not worked hard on it, or have any connection to it.

it's all very complicated.

Sad story 😢 but a good lesson for Caps and everyone who puts too much emphasis on "security" (as if such thing would exist in this world anyway...its an illusion)
