Railway authorities in Catalonia are investigating after a herd of 17 goats made their way into a train station and onto the railway tracks in the city of Terrassa, on Tuesday morning.

Surprised people snapped photos and posted videos online as they watched the goats delicately pick their way along the tracks.

The goats were "completely disoriented and frightened," security guard Antonio Jes?s Mart?_nez told El Pa?_s. Using a whistle and his voice, he spent 40 minutes guiding the goats towards an unused track in the station. "It was like I had been herding goats all my life," he joked.

The goats were first spotted in a tunnel just before the station, said Jordi Carrera of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalonia (Railways of the Generalitat of Catalonia). "Now we're trying to figure out exactly where they would have entered from."

Station staff have seen the occasional cow wander onto their outdoor tracks, he said, from a nearby farm. "But never anything like this."

He stressed that train service was not interrupted. The goats were kept in the unused track while staff waited for police to locate the goatherd. He arrived, visibly nervous, about an hour after his goats and worked with staff to come up with a plan on how best to get the animals out of the station. "We took them out one by one," said Carrera.

The last goats were led from the train platform, up the station steps and out the exit after nightfall when train services were less frequent. "Some of them ended up spending eight or nine hours in the station," said Carrera, adding: "But they were well looked after."

I think it's a hostile takeover. The goats are far too intelligent for normal humans now! They're the most dangerous creatures on the planet- 2nd to the Velociraptor. Soon they'll take arms and attempt a Coup d etat.

Yeah, I see it the same.

This incident in Spain is a bad omen of things to come.

Ehh I don't care much for Spain. Now if they invade France or England. It's the end of human civilization as we know it. Suicide bomber goats, G.O.A.T tanks, Goats holding guns. Dear god it'd be like the return of the spice girls.

Why is that? I mean, they are loud in groups, most of the Spanish men are douchebags that seem to get more agreeable once they mature/get married and the Spanish women are a hot handful...

Other than that I find it one of the more pleasant Southern European countries. 🙂

Why would someone living in the US say that? How often have you been there?

80% of Americans coming to Europe act the same way. Complete disrespect for culture, loud as fuck, throwing garbage everywhere..interested in where the nearest mall is and where the caffeteria is in museums. Any museum curator will say that percentage is higher but I'm feeling nice tonight. It's a circus and no one wants to be in their vicinity. "Michelangelo painted the Sixtine Chappel? Man, that turtle sure has skills."

The other 20% ..I had amazing convos with. Really nice people and all around respectful. It's a huge ass country so it makes sense there's a lot of people who enforce the negative stereotype.

Been there once. 2 years ago, didn't like it, didn't like the people. Tiz is alright. But I didn't like it for reasons I'm not willing to explain. I like all of Europe with the exceptions of Spain and Russia (Russia for obvious reasons). My favorites were England and France.

Usually the younger (high school to university students) may do this. But most tourists are respectful...as many of them by the time middle age and senior age, they can afford to travel and are usually respectful. So probably alot of younger people who "party" are of the 80% .

I've seen it with all ages and families.

At least in the countries I was in.

But we can safely say most of us in the younger generation are way more disrespectful in general.

😄 True. I was just remembering all the senior citizen bus tours. I can't imagine them going cray cray. 😄

That was so predictable. I didn't even have to click the thread to know what this was all about.

It's an Earth sign forum dude, I have to make it obvious. Most things fly over our heads. 😄

You speak for Virgos - not the other two earth signs.

Fair enough. What sign do you speak for? You come across as funnily condescending..I see Virgo aspects in you 😛

Can we get a conference going?
