Capricorn Men and Testing

I keep hearing over and over again that Capricorn men test women all the time. I'm confused.. what exactly are they testing? What do these tests consist of? Do they do it on purpose or is it just a subconcious thing?

I've been dealing with a Cap for almost a year now and it seems like at the slightest provocation he'll disappear for a while then come back and wonder why I didn't come chasing after him. We've never had an official relationship, just been on dates here and there.. no real physica action either. although he's made a comment or two about it.. so yeah..

I'm a CAP woman and I'm accused of testing for answers all the time. I don't mean too. Actually the testing comes naturally. At first I didn't call it testing but through time I realized that it actually is testing. Many CAPS are undercover with many things that we do and we need to know if we can get you to go there with us. He's fishing to see where your mind is and how you feel for him also he wants to know how you view him as a person. If you just listen to the questions that he's asking, you will pretty much know his aim. CAPS do not trust very easy.

Now he's running because there is something that he see's in you that he doesn't approve of at this time but in the same instance he comes back because he cares. I have several CAP friends and we all do the same thing. If the relationships goes too fast and he finds himself having strong feelings for you he will step back to gather himself and come back when he misses you. As far as family he will seperate from them if they get on his nerves about anything. Oh! and that's also the same for you. If you pressure him about anything he's gone. And if you try to prevent him from doing anything that he wants to do he's gone again!!! Normally the Scorps are very good and keeping us where they need us. So if you're very interested in him and you want to be with him put on your track shoes because everything is at his time, when he's ready.

Im finding that everything you have said is 100% accurate as I have been chasing my capy for the last 9 months he has pulled away twice now. I know he loves me, he just scared and cautious. So its time for me to back off let him do his thing and when he misses me he will be back.... my question though is how many times do they do this before they make their decision?

Cap girl here... dunno how much I can vouch for the males, but I test loyalty and devotion. I dont necessarily drill with questions though. I'm extremely sensitive where I read everything... mostly body language, expressions and speech intonation. This stuff is sooooo telling of what a person is really thinking/feeling. It's really difficult to explain how or what I look for.
I can tell when someone is sincere, complacent, indifferent, etc regardless of what they say. Sometimes people speak and "dont speak" the same thing and most times they do.
Also, its true... actions speak louder than words! If you feel love for a capriforn... show it AND say it or they wont buy it.

With my experience another Cap and also a Scorp, they can handle me because they do the same.. testing.. And I don't find that difficult to understand if a Cap or a Scorp needs some time for himself.. Because I need that too.. With other signs it's been so difficult, they don't understand that you really need time for yourself. And I get bored with people who come around me all the time.

This is very insightful. One question, how does one "show" their Cappy love when you barely see him or talk to him because he's so busy working? I always wait for him to call me because I've learned from experience that work comes first. Which is fine, I'm pretty busy myself, but I do miss our conversations. Mine was hurt by an ex-wife (left him for another man), so fear of being hurt again is a big factor here. I give him the space he needs as everyone suggests. I know how he feels about me (he has told me) and I think he's afraid of those feelings. What can I do to reassure him that I would never hurt him. Words, cards, emails don't work. I've tried that. Any insights you (or anyone else) may have on this would be very helpful.

Another question for Cappies: how long do you test and what do you do if/when someone doesn't pass a test?

test as long as it takes 'til we know our significant other is giving as much loyalty and devotion to the relationship as we are.
As far as whether they pass or not... Its more like how they are passing. I've been with my bf for over 2 yrs now and he's still not quite passing perfectly. Like... I'd give him a B. That's passing, but it's still not an A. Not that he needs to be perfect, but in the realm of loyalty and devotion, I guess you could say that I'm a perfectionist in what I give and what I'd like to be given. I'd think a lot of people would be that way.

Well, Caps are all about work and effort in getting to a goal. "Its not the destination... it's the journey" type of thing. Show your man that you put effort into your love (not that you already dont), but in something extraordinary or unusual... original! Like a rare movie that's not made any more and you had to hunt the movie stores and finally found it! "Honey, I know you love this movie and I wanted you to have it because I love you and I love knowing that I can make you happy, even if it is a small trinket... I worked so hard trying to find it," something to that nature. That's speakin' your man's language and he ought to understand it well. Just an example as strange as it may sound, but I've done it! And hell... I'd appreciate it!

Just think "thoughtful." Think of his tastes, favorite color, favorite music... his idiosyncracies (sp?), any wierd n off the wall things he's into... especially the kinky stuff! Plan it out if need be. The more time that appears to have been invested, the more he's bound to love it.

Thank you all for this thread. I've been in a relationship with a Cappie for the past four months and while I've spent time bonding with his whole family that live out of state, he has been acting weird, ultra bossy, and picking testy fights over the slightest thing. Currently we aren't speaking over the misinterpretation over the word growth, as in optimistic personal growth and as a couple (not as the need to grow-up). I'm giving him space, though I'd rather clear it up with a mature conversation. Anyways, thank you for all for your insights into this and please keep it coming. Most of us don't fully know what we are up against. I can only speak for myself in that I find this conversation helpful for understanding the person I'm involved with, full of insightful ideas, and comforting.

how do you pass Cap men tests?

By being who you say you are. People that test others are basically doubtful because your words don't match your actions. Also, if you constantly change your mind, it puts in direct way of being tested.

being indifferent but very direct seems to be working in my favor with Cap males.

Being true to ones self and being confident in your beliefs and actions works with Caps.

I guess it works for them to find out Who you are, but it doesn't get anyone to like you just for being honest.
