Did you all find that you figured out what career you wanted to do or industry you wanted to be in easily or did it take a lot of searching to get to that point? I'm just curious. I know a lot of 20 somethings do not know what they want to do upon graduating university, but it seems as if a lot of my Capricorn friends I have take until at least their late 20's to figure it out and finally settle in. I'm a Pisces with an Aries rising. I've always had an idea what I wanted to do... it was either going to be business or the healthcare field... and it turns out I'll end up combining both eventually. I have always known someday I would own my own business, just not sure what/what kind.
The girl I am interested in has been struggling with this for the past few years. She (true to Cap nature) is interested in history, politics, and thought about going into the police force or investigations (like crime scenes). She said all of the conversations with her friends lately about wills and mortgages makes her feel like she's nowhere close to that and that she's drifting through life. My gay male Cap friend has had this problem lately too. He graduated with a music teaching degree but now works in special education but took him quite a few years to get to this point (having had a lot of odd and meaningless jobs). My sister a Capricorn, took until 26 or 27 to really get her bearings. She got pregnant with my nephew at age 19, didn't want to go to school (even though my dad pretty much handed a free degree to her, she was always paranoid my parents were trying to control her) and had a lot of jobs and not very good boyfriends until she found my brother in law a Sagittarius. A lot of my friends know exactly what they want to do or know what just don't know how to get there. In my life anyway it seems as if the Caps have struggled more or took longer than a lot of the other people in my life. Is this true for anybody else?

Yeah that's how I was for a while. I've always known I had a want to own my own business someday, but was not sure what. I went back to school last September for massage therapy because it's been something I had been thinking about for like 5 years. A doctor who volunteered at the nature center with me suggested if I liked that later I should just go back for physical therapy. I hated the idea at first because I thought?? That's wayyyy more school than I want and a lot of money. The more and more I looked into it the more it seemed to fit. It would allow me to live overseas and get a visa almost anywhere, I could travel with sports teams like I've always wanted to and it's something I feel in the long run I could get passionate about. That means I am trying to go back to school in a year or so for physical/physio therapy and will eventually have my own practice. I thought I may want to go into the hotel/resort industry but the more I realize the crap my managers have to go through each day the more I think... yeah this won't do for the long run. I need something more fulfilling. Sun-Pisces, Moon-Sagittarius, Mercury-Pisces, Venus-Aquarius, Mars-Taurus

I know so many darn Caps, and thinking about it maybe more are doing what they want than not. The ones that are living their dreams always knew what they wanted, the ones who didnt know still dont(I fall into this category), the Caps who were unsure but refused to sit went to the military(I know 3/4 of these Caps).

Its taken me forever, but Im a lazy Capricorn that feels no type of work is the least bit desirable+my commitment issues spill over into everything, including work.

See that is what I told her. I said, we are at a point where people are living into their 70's and 80's. I feel like people waste a lot of their good years. Why people seem to be in a rush is beyond me because I have met so many older people who tell me to do my traveling and enjoy my youth now while I don't have too many responsibilities. I have also found a lot of people get bored or make drastic changes to what they first thought they wanted to do so it makes sense to me to wait until you are ready but it seems to bother my friend a lot lately.

I fell into my career. Didn't choose it, but I love it. Especially by a certain age, we feel this is where we should be in life, but if we're not there, we feel like we're drifting or we've failed. Sometimes age puts a swift kick in your ass and you realize you better get on the ball (some ball, any ball) and get your life on track. Even if its not the career we chose, we'll get on some track and work toward success regardless what that is.
