I struggle with "treating" myself - I tend to be very utilitarian, typically if I don't need it then I won't get it - although I am treating myself to a $ 1 bag of CVS cheese twists at the moment 🙂
I also have a hard time spending money on myself, but I'd definitely splurge on a housekeeper and someone to do the yard!
I treated myself to buying new boots tonight 😄
Of course, my old ones the heel is all worn uneven causing me to slip on smooth floors at times and twist my ankles, the toes are massively scuffed up to the point the rubber sole is pulling away, and they look pretty worn all over (they're like 3 yrs old) - other than those issues, they're a perfectly good pair of boots!! *scratches head* why did I spend all that money??
BUT - I went to Kohl's; they were having a sale LOL
(I also had a $ 10 off in credit and a 15% off coupon)
go to a shoe cobbler! get the heel fixed before you really do something bad to your ankle :\ serious. i keep all the shoes i like where i've worn the heels somewhere in hopes that someday i'll take them to the cobbler LOL ... there in lies a true cap confession i believe.
lil doll... i'm the same lol ugh. BUT! there are times when i'll splurge when i feel like i've been busting my ass. it's getting to that point. plus... our birthdays are coming up and goddamnit, i deserve something nice.
usually i'll go fly somewhere in the states to go visit friends.
I enjoy cruising and would love to be able to treat my close friends and family to one.
Id LOVE to treat myself to MY kind of outfit from head to toe. Id spend atleast $ 1000. And a nice trip overseas to South Africa, Paris, Hong Kong.
Anyway, my current treats are Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks, a book here or there, and food. Im cutting all of that out though. Im about to save like crazy.
I like the idea of fresh flowers. I like flowers/plants in the home.

im drinking a starbux pumpkin spice latte right now as i post ^_^
I wasnt feeling good one time and my Cap friend came alll the way out where i live to bring me flowers. I couldnt get past him popping up to my house to really appreciate the flowers. He said "NEVER AGAIN" because I didnt even come to the door when he rang the doorbell.
In a nutshell, Im not sure if karma will allow me to ever recieve flowers again lol
I've only received flowers on Valentines day from a man... my daughter is good about giving me flowers on Mother's Day - I still have some that I dried from a few years back even (more special than some man "recognizing" Valentine's Day IMO).
NO, NO, NO, WAIT! Way back (15 yrs), I was seeing a Libra, he stopped along the side of the road one day on his way home from work and picked me a bouquet of wild daisies... just because 🙂 (THAT was the sweetest thing a man has ever done for me!).
I HAD A 51 M.G.T.D. I SOLD IT AND GOT A 95 SJX DROPHEAD COUPE.
I ALSO HAVE A 2004 ROVER.
THAT IS MY TREAT TO MYSELF

It's a shame about flowers, like its supposed to be a gift, but like I said, I never get them. If a man ever buys me flowers I will marry him. Dead ass serious.Last flowers I got was in 2006. My ex husband got horribly drunk to the point I was scared and took my son and left. He sent 4 dozen roses to my job the next day. 😭 fucked up. Not even a happy memory associated with them.
WTF is it with these guys? Buying a girl flowers is just one of those things you should DO as a guy?
I try to keep it appropriate... 1st or 2nd date with a really great gal she's going to get something, not a dozen roses, but something! Some lillies, carnations, just 3 roses... whatever. 12 roses too early on just says "Hi! I'm here to get laid!" lol It just depends on how well we know one another going into it. The better I know a gal, or the more dates we've been on, the more likely she is to get some flowers.
I hear this a lot from gals though, and just don't get it. Flowers are a nice old fashioned tradition, an enjoyable one when you see a gal light up with surprise receiving them.
I don't get it. *shrug* You gals need to have more sex with more old fashioned cave-men or something.

Honestly, my frugal side thinks they are a waste of money. I'm like, get me something that will last! Like, uhmmm.... jewelry! haha! Flowers are great for Valentines Day or an Anniversary and its nice to show off at work, but, really, I'd rather have something lasting even if its something really simple.

I LOVE flowers. My cappy will buy them out of the blue, no special occasion. He told me that the joy he sees in me when I receive them, trumps his frugal nature.
trying? to develop? a gambling addiction? lololol i've never heard that one, but i'm not at all surprised it came from a cap! 😉
i'd treat myself to an escape... really reaally far away and i wouldn't want anyone to know when where and for how long ...or at all!
I would go to vegas and hopefully win more money so I can act as a pimp for a day 😄
A few months in Switzerland and Italy.
Ugh, my mothers Ex-Cap use to gamble a lot. I live in Georgia, but Im fron Texas, and on our drives back and forth between the states they'd hit up nearly all the casinos and my sis and I would have to sit in the car for hours. We'd both be furious. The ONLY good in that was that he was generous with money. He either gambled a lot of it, or gave a lot of it away.

This reminds me of my Cap Step-father. He used to go to casinos a lot with my mother.
They banned him because the flickering lights would cause him to have seizures.
I miss him. 😢

i eat out a lot to reward myself. but besides that i usually splurge for advanced electronics (speakers, computers, cameras), travel/road trips, and music for bands i want to see. i'm trying to develop a small gambling addiction but it hasn't really taken flight as of yetI like this 🙂
I do the eat out as a reward thing too, like today was really positive so I treated myself. Or nab a sweet bargain I'd been eyeing but couldn't quite justify. Funny you mention the gambling thing, I wonder how prevalent that is with Caps. Pretty sure we're good at knowing when to walk away.click to expand
My Cappy doesn't really like gambling. I love blackjack and poker, so when we go to casino, he just watches. On rare occasions, he will play (but he says he is always thinking about what the cash could have bought him).
