Dealing with Petty People

How do you handle/react to people who are petty (Friends)

what happens when you become aware of this trait can you accept this from a friend but keep then at a distance or just say bye?

which sign tend to demonstrate this trait to you?

Usually I take people as they come and adjust to not allow their behavior to affect me. But at times, there are things that are so engregious that needs to be addressed.

I usually end up saying "You're being petty."

Or recently: "I didn't reply to your text because it was unbelievably petty."

It's immaturity, and an unwillingness to look at the bigger picture.

And typically, no-- I can't live with it.

However-- not everyone defines "petty" in the same way. 🙂


As for the sign--

Disclaimer: I love Sags; I just had a falling out recently with a particularly self-centered one.

But this person has five placements in Sag; not just one or two.

Call them out on it and see what they have to say.

people suck all day everyday to me really

You are facilitating negativity by giving the time of day to something petty 😛 At the end of the day we all fuck up, but we are all equally capable of being awesome human beings, that last bit is what caps forget sometimes, its what makes you cynical and negative about people in general.

exactly dont be an enabler and us caps can be we see whats below the surface and be empathetic but sometimes it goes over board

We are all flawed being yes we are . But thats not excuse it we are aware of these traits and choose to do nonetheless what does it say about us a humans or such a person.


Indeed that is so..Indeed . I say it alot jokingly but yet i still mean it but its like whatever yo we all suck at times.

If someone shows you who they are and say hey this is me. How can you say this is what one choose to see?


In the end of the day people show you who they are some of is are just caught up in everything else to take notice.

Which is exactly what invalides your argument that people suck cause they repeatedly make the same mistake, why would you demand something from someone that you cant change about yourself?

yes we are all here to grow and learn each person on their own time. I didnt say anything about freezing no one for a moment no clue where you got that from.

And thats not what the statement means your misinterpreting

I don't automatically seek out a person's flaws, but I do prepare myself for the worst. That's what happens when shitty people burn good people too many times. We become wary.

Exactly no one should. Each indvidual should be given a chance ( clean slate) no one should be marked for the past mistakes of shitty people. However if it does happen the bad that is we arnt necessarily surprised because we know its a possibility. And the steps we take after is up to use simple

I have tended to accept them as they are and deal with it by acknowledging that about them and someones handle it the best i can but sometimes I will if they get too petty tell them straight and this then hurts them which then makes for some leeway of getting why are they like that in the first place.

Not sure which sign tends to demonstrate this trait as all people are petty majority of times, theres an underlying currant that makes people this way that needs to be spotted and somehow worked out.

Of it cant be worked out, I am like ok whatever and then like readjust muself toward them like what is it i have to learn from this for myself coz there is some reason why they like this in the place first but usually most times I dont have to do this so really depends on the person in front of me who is like this anyway.

Sometimes this takes a while for this happen other times it doesnt as i am usually thinking about other things and that helps me to not react immediately to petty people. Sometimes it doesnt and usually find theres something else thats making be like that in the first place.

I dont know how other people deal with petty people I usually just say yeh whatever and go do my own thing especially when its got nothing to do with me in the first place. If it has something to do with me then I will atleast try to work it out when I can, other than that there is not much else I can see a person can actually do.

haha i dunno i just felt like say ur adorable lol

Petty people wouldn't have ended up in my circle of friends in the first case. They would have given off red flags, to show their true nature. They could still remain aquaintaces though. Anybody else calculating like this? Calculating not in a negative way, but maybe asking certain questions or bringing up certain topics? That way you have more of an idea of the inner core of an individual.

As soon as I notice pettiness I'm already plotting my escape 😛 But I don't usually make friends with petty people because I observe others behavior as much as possible before making friends.
