Not sign dependent.
I disagree. Example: Fire signs tend to react immediately and from the gut.

Largely depends on what it is, how much I'm in the situation, what the risks of misunderstanding are, how much of a retard I am emotionally at that given moment, and many more factors.could be a day or two. Could be a week or two. However long I need to process it properly.
Thanks for giving a clear answer.
Acknowledged M. But if you read the question it was:
Roughly how long would it take *YOU* to "digest" the information and respond?
If it'y bothersome that I placed it on the Cap Board, I'll be happy to remove it here and place in Misc.
CP seemed to understand the question and respond based on his own personal experience.
This was what I was looking for. Quite simply.

Emotionally loaded...if I am close to that person and it sounds urgent, 1-2 days.If their disclosure is making me uncomfortable but they are important to me, 3-5 days.
If they are not important and it's just drama, then i don't need time to digest. I'll just reply with something short, like "ok".
Thank you for the clear and concise answer.
Probably overnight or within 48 hours.
REally depends on the information.

I feeling a bit of sarcasm from you. I hope I'm wrong. You asked for a time frame. It's hard to give a specific, concise answer with such a vague question and very little information to work with. I understand why you don't want to go into detail, though.
Not at all! I was sincerely thanking you for answering the question based on your own personal experiences. Maybe I was not clear with that from the beginning. But it's what I was hoping for. So thx.
Oh, okay!! Just making sure! 🙂

No prob. 🙂
It depends.
I really not arguing the issue of "it depends". That seems like a given with the information that was given in the OP.
I just am not in agreement with M that the answer to my question is not sign dependent. It's been my experience that certain signs (particularly fire) will react immediately without processing information, whereas others (example earth signs) will take time to introspect before discussing.
The fact that most people responded with a time frame (that includes you CP) was useful and helpful to me.
My intent was not to put M down, most of the time he has great insight. In this particular instance, I just disagreed. Simple as that. Nothing personal.

What they said. It all depends but if the information doesn't really involve me and they spilled their guts then there's a reason they chose me. I'd reply as soon as I had a good response or something to say back
I do think the fire signs react without thinking things through. I'm surrounded by fire signs and I see that they tend to act and/or react impulsively. They get irritated with me because I want to take a little time to consider and think/digest and come up with an answer. They don't understand why I can't make a snap decision - they think I'm indecisive, which is not the case. I don't want to react too quickly because I want to make sure I've weighed all the angles and considered all the possibilities. Sag isn't as bad, but they still make me feel like I should process information quicker. However, I seldom regret the actions I take and I see a lot of fire signs having to pay consequences of their speedy responses.
Gemini is bad about just reacting and not processing as well. Can't say all air signs do this, though.
Of course, this isn't about decision making, it's about considering and digesting the information, then deciding what to do with it.
I have a lot of friends that just confide in me because they either need to get it off their chest, or just want a rational opinion.
I think Earth signs take a longer time to process information thouroughly. More would depend upon the elements and their placement in the chart.

Yes! This was along the lines of what I was trying to gauge. You're right that the "average" fire sign reacts impulsively often regretting it later.
I know Caps take time, so I just wanted to get a feeling for time frame ranges. They seem pretty wide 🙂, but nevertheless longer than an Aries or Leo for example.

Yes, clearly. I was just to get ballpark values for the time frame.

Supposing someone to whom you are close gave you some emotion loaded information. I can not give specific details. I can only say that the information was given in writing.Roughly how long would it take you to "digest" the information and respond?
Digesting the information takes place instantly for me. If it's someone that I am close to I will stop what ever I am doing and head over and see what can be done ( I was in training once, barely learning the ropes for a new job, and someone I was close to me called me in tears saying that things ??Were not ok?? I spoke to my trainer, advised that it was urgent, asked if I could still come in tomorrow, he said it was ok, and I headed out. )
Why the question though?
I was close to*

As I said in the OP, I can't give specifics. Sorry.

If I understand correctly, you're asking how long it would take me to digest and respond to someone else's emotionally loaded information. I would "process" in real time and respond immediately. No time is required on my part to process and respond to someone else's emotionality.
That said, the manner in which I reply will impact the speed with which my response is delivered. A verbal response can be provided immediately. A written one will depend on the time I have available and my motivation to compose said response.
You're no fun!
True!

Not quite. Suppose that you're personally implicated in the "loaded" information.
