Marriage

i hear a lot of people who say they are against marriage and dont wanna get married nowadays

this is crazy to me. how can you be against marriage or never want to get hitched? i'm not even religious in the least bit but i still believe in the concept of marriage. i have heard arguments against marriage like "oh, you shouldnt need a piece of paper to love someone blah blah blah". no, but marriage is a COMMITMENT to someone...."til death do us part".

in this day and age it seems like no one is faithful or can commit to anything

the divorce rate is what, 50% ? i dont like divorce and never want to get divorced myself. that is actually something that scares me.

when i hear about a couple thats been married for 10+ years now i wanna give them a high five

this isnt a case of me waking up and saying ok im at the age where im thinking about marriage. i've always felt the same way and wanted to be married already. even back when i was in my teens i was hoping that any relationship would end with us getting married. i always wanted to get married and have a family relatively young.......wished on the whole end up with your childhood/HS sweetheart thing but that never happened 😢 . im not that young anymore and im a long way from where i thought id be at this point. my older brothers arent married and dont seem anywhere close to it and that seems weird to me.

in typical cappy fashion i take a while to get to know someone, but now i feel like ill rush into things to make up for lost time. i dont want to rush into anything or make a mistake but i dont wanna wait any longer. the next one needs to be THE one. im done wasting time caring for someone only to be left with nothing. i just want to be lucky enough to find my soulmate and best friend.


why would anyone want to be 40, 50, 60 and single? it would suck to be alone forever.

there are people out there who get married/have kids and dont even realize how lucky they are. they dont appreciate it. i know if i could get what they have i would treasure. i would do anything for my family to make sure they were taken care of.

yea, i dont date casually. i dont even date at all. i am all about serious relationships and i will not go through any BS now. why does a relationship need drama to "spice" it up? its as if people feel the need to create drama in order to make things exciting. F that, save me the drama and go put that shit in a doggy bag for someone else.

pre-nups.....thats another interesting one. majority of people probably get pre-nups now and i think thats another problem. going into a marriage with a pre-nup is just kind of saying it might fail. then again, i do agree with some people getting pre-nups, especially someone who is rich and famous. this is something i go back and forth on.


finding a good person is NOT easy. i wont lie i guess you could say my standards are pretty high but my "requirements" shouldnt really be that hard to find. i have high standards for others because i place high standards on myself. its damn impossible to find a female at my age who doesnt have kids or hasnt been divorced already. that cuts out 90% already LOL. even most my age are not mature or on the same level as far as what they want in life. they are also extremely insecure. i wont even get into the rest now


Chance i hear what you're saying about divorce now. its not as taboo anymore and people can just up and get the papers be done with it now. its sad that people will look for the "easy way" out as soon as a problem turns up instead of trying to work through it. relationships are all about compromise, give & take. of course cheating is grounds for immediate divorce. i do not tolerate infidelity at all. another fear of mine......getting cheated on by my wife.

it boils down to people being selfish. people are out for their own good be it sex/money usually. greed is human nature. let me get mine, you'll get yours. i just think most people are selfish.

i was thinking back then were people really different or did they have the same ulterior motives people today have? i think the answer is humans have always been the same, its just there were different ways to hide it back then. you still had hos back then, they just didnt have a facebook or twitter.

rushing.......im gonna try not to but shit, im gonna be 27. lets say i actually do meet someone now ....i will have to be friends with them for a few years. that puts me at least 30 and then it will be another couple years for marriage/family. i want to at least have a family before 30. my parents are old and at least they got married then. i had a chick i befriended for over 4 years and cared for her, even started to let her in and place trust in. next thing you know i get fucked over. so i wasted all that time being friends for naught. i'm glad though cuz shes incredibly insecure and has issues.

i need to start rostering these women, get a starting 5.....maybe a couple bench players. if one of my starters is actin up i'll get my 6th woman to come off the bench and step in. if she produces, she might move into the starting lineup.

yea it was over 4 years. i liked her, but she was just so insecure and had a lot of issues. its funny cuz she talked about how she wanted those things (kids) now but her actions told a different story. just another case of being the same as they all are..

I've always feared being married, until I came across Mr. Capi, then everything changed.
In a time like this, you can't trust just anyone with your heart. You look around you and see all the cheats and the lies, people are just out there to please themselves, one night stands, flings and all sort of crazy things, many take relationships lightly, they don't try and work around problems that they have, they take the easy way out, for some replacing their partner is just as simple as replacing their toothbrush.

As for me, I just want one, and I'd wait for this Capi forever to make up his mind, I know he is one in a million and I would never rush him into doing anything that he is not sure about. And if it never happened, I'd always want him around, because his friendship means to me way more than any relationship.

What is a person's first impression of you?

When my bff met RoboCap, she thought he was a heartless asshole. LOL he himself has told me that people write him off cuz he comes off as an ass which he is not at all. He's just not the kind that warms up to you quick. I'm a social butterfly that will talk to anyone, hell maybe even a chair if it'll talk back but he's very guarded, quiet, private, etc. I like the fact that he's not your typical loud mouth clown. For those he cares for though, he shows a side that not everyone sees.

i'm not sure, i guess they probably think i'm standoffish/conceited/an asshole since i'm shy/quiet. if you know me you see im not 🙂

i dont know that im in a rush though! i just know who i am and know what i want. why not get it now instead of later? if i were to find a good woman right now and knew that i could trust her 100% , i would have no problem marrying/starting a family in a couple years. i'm a good man who deserves what he is after. time goes by so fast now too, its like i blinked and this year is almost over. for the past few years i've been dealing with crap that i shouldnt be and its drained me so much. did i do something in a past life? maybe i need to do something drastic.......get up and move or completely change what i wanna do.

i could accomplish every single one of my goals but it wouldnt mean shit if i didnt have someone there by my side every step of the way. where's my ride or die chick?

I work at a nursing home and it's like everyday I'm in dreamland. I love to hear their stories.. they talk about the hard times, sometimes they were dirt poor, sometimes the men even stepped out on them. But the longevity of their relationships is so admirable to me. And sometimes the way they met...

This one french lady I took care of told me about how she met her husband, who was an American soldier. It was like straight out of a story book. The American soldiers were stationed there, taking over France and her and some other french women were summoned to line up, sit at these tables and meet the soldiers. She said that her American soldier asked respectively to speak to her father, to get his approval to court her. It was just so cute... 🙂

I wouldn't say I wish to live in those times but I wish those traditional mentalities still carried over. The whole courting, the man actually working to get the girl, going to ask Pop for his approval, how cute is all that! I may be an independent woman with a career but I still believe the man should be head of household and well...be the f'n man! Why not!
