Hello, all! I am new to this forum, and have studied astrology for over 5 years. I do readings semi-professionally, and I'd make it a full time job if I could! The Heavens are certainly my greatest passion.

Although I know quite a bit about our planets, houses, aspects, and transits; I do not know very much about asteroids. I have seen some of the threads posted under the astro categories, and I am floored with how much everyone knows. I feel that I could learn a lot from y'all.

Anywho, I have Dejanira (the supposed, "victim," asteroid), exactly conjunct my Venus. Both of them are 27° in Virgo, in the 12th, opposite Saturn. Yes, I guess you could say I have been victimized by certain men I have dated, but not any more than I have "victimized" others. I didn't always treat others the way I should have, and often times, I had the upper hand (NOT a good thing). I could be bossy, and demanding. I am currently in one of the greatest relationships I could ever ask for. I am with a wonderful Aries man that has stuck it out with me like no other. I don't always deserve that. I feel I've been more of a pill than he has.

So, would you say that those with tight Dejanira aspects in their charts are more inclined to be the predator, or the prey? Could anyone shed some light on how this conjunction might play out for me in life (I just turned 20). I am clueless. Thanks!

I've never even heard of a Dejanira asteroid, but I assume it's supposed to be Deianira (Hercules' wife), who was more or less a cuckolded woman. Hercules fathered children all across Greece which fueled her insecurities.

So the centaur Nessos (who had a thing for her) kidnapped Deianira, only to then be killed by Hercules with a poisoned arrow. As he lay dying, Nessos duped Deianira into believing his blood was a potion against Hercules' infidelity. She smeared it all over Hercules' shirt which caused great physical injury to him, leading Hercules to kill himself as relief from the pain; since the poison from the arrow had spread throughout Nessos' body.

Deianira then killed herself. Well..........the idiot should've kept it into his pants.
