I did jump up and look but there was nothing. I live in the middle of nowhere. I'm not sure what it could've been. Nobody else woke up and the dog didn't bark.

I was jolted awake by a very loud crash. It sounded like a car accident. It seemed so real that I actually looked out my window expected to see it. My heart was pounding so hard and fast. It felt like it was going to jump out of my chest. It took a long time to settle down and fall back asleep.
