What do you do with your leftovers?

This morning I used the leftover french fries from the day before and scrambled in an egg with it. I wish I'd added unions and cheese too. That would have been so much yummier. And I used the very little spagettie in place of bread lol that mush be the most fattening breakfast, huh.
I noticed that my aunty warms up leftovers and sets it on the table as an extra option to the meal.

If it's something that won't get used quickly, such as meatloaf for lunch sandwiches I freeze things. Soups, stocks, main dishes, most everything. Leftover vegetables get layered in one large freezer bag. Quite handy at a later date to pop out the veg stalactite and put it in a simmering pot of soup. And on those evenings you don't feel up to cooking you just thaw, heat and eat.

i love leftovers! fries need to be reheated in the oven, otherwise they get yucky.

last week my bf and i went to dinner with 3 other couples and all the food portions were monstrous. one of the guys (a virgo) said something like "ohhhh im so full but i have to keep going cause i can't take it home." his girlfriend won't let him take home leftovers because shes from australia (she was visiting at the time) and she went on to say that if you do it then you're considered poor. i was thinking "but i am poor! ive got student loans im going to be paying on for the next 5 years and i drive a toyota! the restaurants are evil and stuff me full of chips and salad before my suspersized meal thats big enough for 4 arrives, then when it comes i take one bite and say I'M FULL! it's a conspiracy!" i kinda couldn't believe the girl said it but yeah, i love having lunch and dinner for the next day. it's a waste otherwise. i took home a big to-go box that night 😄

hahaha nice! great way to survive! I love taking fries and frying eggs with it mixed. and taking home leftover, um.. consider me poor! I don't care. I heard it's considered rude in the country my parents are from. Just knowing that makes me want to fly out there just t take my leftovers with me 😄

Very rarely. And for several reasons. The first being I can make something far tastier and inexpensive at home. The second, because I do this a lot of fast food gives my guts problems. Do I crave it from time to time? Sure I do. But I figure for the cost of 1 bucket of KFC with trimmings I can purchase almost 10 chickens and fry them at home. This gives me pause, that and the drive itself. It's roughly 20 minutes or so to get to any of these places.

re-using leftovers is one of my favorite ways to cook. i can be so indecisive when i try to conjure something on my own. my imagination runs wild and i end up creating these extravagant things in my head. i always have to make it complex and i'm a fan of layering. so re-using simplifies things because i can get creative with only the items on hand. more often than not these meals turn out even better for their sheer simplicity and be full of flavor.

Well it's no secret that some foods can taste JUST AS GOOD even if they are considered "left-overs," while other foods only taste good eaten when it's served/eaten fresh!

I don't mind most left-overs. I think it's wrong to throw away certain foods/meals all b/c it's no longer considered "fresh," or just out of the oven. Hell, sometimes left-overs taste just as good re-cooked like they did when 1st cooked & served fresh!

Certain foods though I won't eat the next day, BUT sometimes that's mainly b/c of how the food can taste different/lose it's touch after it's been refridgerated or been sitting for a long time like:

1. Breads! I can't stand having to re-microwave subs and/or certain sandwhiches b/c the bread can get soggy & lose it's "crispness" if not eaten when it's 1st served "fresh."
-I won't even attempt to re-head garlic bread or buscuits b/c I believe they taste the best when 1st out of the oven or fresh!

2. Breakfast! I believe most breakfast items are BEST served fresh & hot. I don't mind eating left over bacon or sausage links. BUT leftover eggs, pancakes, or buscuits? Heck no!
