Um, so everything we've heard about the chance of a woman past her thirties having a baby with downs syndrome is not true then?
Ethically and morally I'm completely split on this issue. On the one hand, anyone who is capable of loving and caring for a child should have the opportunity to have one (or more). But, is it fair to a child to knowingly only give them 20 years before you'll probably die? Also, the article clearly states that women are not biologically set up to have children in later life. That should be taken as a red flag. Mother nature has a way of making it so that the strongest survive and procreate, and since we're not meant to after a certain point, it may be because the health of ourselves or our child would be less than adequate for survival.
