I have only recently started playing Mass Effect 1 and I like it a lot. I am making up for all the time I played online games and now just venturing through different SP games I should have dealt with in their time. Next up are ME 2 and 3.

I've heard a lot of people mention Andromeda and I wish I could get some opinions on it from here !
Since you started with ME1, you're gonna be in for a spectacular culture shock when you go on to ME2. The level of polish compared to ME1 is shocking, it's like a completely different franchise. That's a very good thing btw. While ME1 has stolen our hearts for introducing us to the awesome lore, it lacks gameplay-wise because it's so clunky.

ME2 fixes all of the gameplay problems ME1 has. ME3 is a more polished version of ME2. Btw, make sure to grab ME1's DLC "Bring Down The Sky". It takes place on an asteroid and introduces the Batarian aliens. It's a great side-mission independent of the main plot. It's also free. Download it here:

They claim it no longer requires an activation code, but if it does ask you for one, use this

C6KKRJD4BBHTHX9KH49H - it's a free code given away by EA years ago.

There's also another ME1 DLC called Pinnacle Station, it's Spectre training grounds more or less. Personally I find it a chore, but if you want it, let me know and I'll get it for ya. It's not available to buy anymore. Do you play ME1 on Steam or Origin? Steam versions are better, higher framerate. Origin can be laggy. When you're ready to start ME2, let me know and I'll get all the DLC for ya.

Andromeda isn't out yet until March/April 2017. They've just started a steady stream of new info. It sounds.......interesting. I haven't fully made up my mind yet, trying to keep an open mind. Andromeda seems to retcon the original trilogy. Visually it looks great, but storywise I'll get back to ya. Check this out

Look at the date at the top right. 7/25/2184. That's between the events of ME1 and ME2. 2183/84 is ME1, 2185 is ME2, 2186 is ME3 and the galactic war. And have a listen at this! Creepy!
