For me it's sincere and subtle complements. For example two separate dates with two separate people. The first one was a bit vocal but it didn't come off sincere. She said I was a gentleman and appreciated the date. I felt "eh". It felt forced and II quickly lost interest.

The other one every joke I said she'd have this sweet laugh. It felt like she didn't have a care in the world when he was laughing. Every little "gentlemanly" thing I did she just looked at me, pause, and smile. I took the second person's reaction as complements and just ate it up. I swear for the short time we dated I spoiled her rotten.

I believe they appreciate flattery if it's sincere. Too much flattery may come across as insincere and they may still politely smile and accept them but will probably be on guard.

Many people seem to mistake a Leo's confidence and pride with ego and arrogance and so they think by buttering them up with tons of compliments will get them in their good graces. Sometimes it might but other times it may backfire.

I find that more times than not Leos are good judges of character. So depending on the relationship and how close you are and just as anyone would, they'd appreciate your genuine compliments.

Just my opinion. 😉

Yeah if someone constantly just compliments me or comes on to strong it doesn't feel sincere and I can't take them serious. It took me a long time for me to accept when my man called me "gorgeous" and "sweetie" all the time cause it just didn't seem real(I'm a real bitch, and no one had told me I was gorgeous b4....beautiful, pretty, cute, but not gorgeous)....then other people started saying that to me all of a sudden (women and men) and so then I realized he ment it.
Yeah, sincerity is key

I think there are times I have given people more credit than they deserved, but that's because I tend to look for the positive things.

Hello fellow Leo, I COMPLETELY agree!

Although I am a female leo, I will say this. I love flattery, as long as it's genuine. If it's fake, or forced in any way- I tend to feel insulted. It just seems ridiculous to me for someone to even go to that length. Also, I feel like I have a pretty good B.S. detector when it comes to fake compliments......

Ya,

Have to say like many of my other fellow Leo's that have commented. If it's not sincere or genuine, it's an insult to me. Also, aside from that- I start thinking to myself, "Hmmmm, if this person's able to feed me a total B.S. compliment like that, what else are they telling me that's B.S? It just throws up a red flag to know not to trust what that person says.....

If I get a genuine compliment? Ya, your totally in my good graces for sure (unless you catch wind of my eating that up, and start with the B.S. compliments thinking that it will keep the ball rolling or something; then it's back to square one for you)

My mom and I were talking about appreciation today lol. I have been doing some nice stuff for family and haven't even gotten a thank you for it once. I don't feel like a thank you was in order per-say, but that less demanding on their end and (at least pretend ) to appreciate what is done for them.
Sweetie, what would we DO without you??

For me it's more about the things I love being noticed. It's probably from having an extreamly strong CiV mixed with scorp moon, but if you love the things I happen to love it's TL4E. I feel deeply connected with hobbies, thoughts, opinions, and possessions. More then I'm even connected to myself. That leaves the chances of finding love slim, and may make me see selfish which is fine. Not too many women want to follow a man and his thoughts around all day in today's time, but I never experenced a time when they did anyway so I'm not missing out on much.

Lmao...me ego loved that :p

Seriously though, they use their childRen as a pawn and we won't let a child go without something. They work the angle at every chance. Don't even get a thank you normally just more demands. Essentials given, anything else is a big NO

Wow... I don't think I'd be inclined to anything for them, anymore.
