I found a penny in my tip jar... I find lots of pennies in my tip jar. People just throw their change into the tip jar, no one bothers to really check it... No one bothers to look at pennies to closely anyway. Of all the coins, it seems that pennies are the most overlooked. People don't care about one measely cent... And yet, a penny for your thoughts? Some one must have cared for this particular penny, because neatly engraved on it next to the bust of Lincoln was a heart, and inside the heart read the words "I LOVE YOU". The penny was warn, it was from the mint of 1974, which made me wonder just how long ago some one had enscribed that on the penny. It made me wonder why they did that, and if that penny had succeeded in buying someone's heart...
Morgan, I couldn't agree with you more...why do we over look the simple things in life? Have we become so busy with our lives that we don't take time to "see" anymore? Thanks for the insight...
Pennies From Heaven
Oh, I found a penny yesterday in the parking lot...in my spare time I am a money collector.
Not to be a spoil sport... (Eyes Luz.. < Whacks! > her back..) But a penny like that was mass engraved.. sold in hundreds, etc. Mystery spender would have done better to buy romance coupons, etc. (BTW.. put a $ 1.00 bill in your tip jar.. old waitress tip.. might get more soft money that way.)
Ok.. I'm bending the rules. One can only do so much with the accidental/nature concept.. The original penny idea was good.. in that someone gave it to someone else.
ok... fine... So we are now talking about creating something special... Which is good... Except you told me that it wasn't special, cause it was mass produced.
I erred.. Someone "bought it" with a good idea in mind. I'm sure the other person was deeply touched. People can do heartfelt things w/o cost as well.. the clover, etc. I like little silly things. Someone gave me a Pez dispenser, for no reason.. it was a very nice gesture. I've gotten crossword books, erase-a-sketch, and jacks for people.. just for fun. Just cheapy crap items, but they meant something to that person.
OK... I do know what you mean... I love buying litte things like that for people... That's why I really never have any money... I'm always buying stupid crap like that...
You want the really nitty gritty of it all? I saw your original post and thought.. you were really down, or jaded.. then the sucessive ones (and like.. mine helped, eh? not).. only seemed to emphasis your disparity.
Hmm... I was down when I posted it I think... That's what happens when you're stuck all alone at home for days at end with only the walls to talk to... You start overanalyzing stupid things you find all around you...
just summer, my job's only part time, cann't get a full time one, no one will hire me, and I don't have a car so I'm stuck... Because I live in the middle of nowhere... Actually, technically, that's the next town over about twenty minutes down the road (it takes twenty minutes to get anywhere, which means the mall because that's the only place there is to go and I'm very disillusioned with that place, in fact, it gives me head aches).
Oh.. 2 months. That's not so long. Uhm..60 days, 1440 hours or just 86,400 minutes. Not so long that. Ooh, lookit.. 85,399 minutes now. Man, it's really flyin for you. 😉
I'd forgotten. You'll like it. On the edge of the precipice. Or abyss.. depending how you look at it. Life's going to get a lot more fun. Imagine the wider diversity of freaks and geeks to rub elbows with? It's dizzying, I tell ya.
I think I'd like to see Boston. "posh" and Boston, seem to be similiarly associated in my mind. As in attitude.. upscale, etc. All the history about you, etc. (I liked Philadelphia, on a visit) I can imagine Boston would be a blast to explore. There really is a "Cheers" bar.. there, I hear. (for what that's worth...)
lol... I actually liked philadelphia more than I like boston... Boston's smaller... But yeah, it's pretty cool, it's got some good spots, and the history is a huge part down in the historic distrect or along the freedom trail... do you know about the Freedom Trail?
The Freedom Trail is a red painted line on the side walks which if followed will bring you to all the main historic sights in the city... Paul Revere's house, the old north church, sea port, quincy market, various grave yards, excetera.
Hi, I've been in this message board before...I am a leo male who needs an advice about a woman. There is this girl that I've met in church before. When I met her again(been awhile)she sat next to me, and for some reason..i had an hunch that she was on t
To my feverished mind, the actuallity of a thing matters little in contrast to its appearance. And then, what real value does the truth of a thing have? It makes no real impact unless we percieve it to. So it is infact only the perception of an even which
Does it ever seem that you attract disgusting people? Sometimes I wonder to myself why it is that of all the people that could hit on me, it's always the creepy ones that do. You can tell when they're going to come over to you as well, and you look away,
Opposites do attract! Been dating an aquarius male for two years, and it couldn't be better. He has taught me about friendship, and I have taught him about love. Needless to say we're the best of friend and the best of lovers. He tells me I'm the most ama
Sean Penn, Madonna, Martin Sheen, Kevin Spacey and who knows who else--feel the need to voice thier high opinions on the possibility of an attack? And then there's J. Lo demanding to be in Sean Puffy's o
I don't know much about relationships between a Taurus (guy freind of mine) and a Leo (me). Are we supposed to get along well or kill eachother. I've heard it goes both ways, any personal experiences out there that could help me decide if I should bother
What are your experiences with leo males? I've met a leo myself-I kind of like him,but I am afraid that he might be a me-in-the-mirror. Hey,you-leo guys out there-what are you looking for in a woman? waiting anxiously to read all about. Thanks
I was curious to know why people cheat who are already in a committed relationship with the person they have choosen or is choosing to spend the rest of their life with— Seems like a BIG contradiction to me.
I just have a few comments to make how much Sex does a Leo Woman need? I have been seeing a Leo Woman in her Mid 20's for almost 3 years now and boy is her Sexual drive up there. She makes me look bad. There are times that I feel she is going to leave
hmmm...
And people think pennies aren't worth anything.
