how do you deal with your own intensity?

How do you tone it down or deal with it?

I don't tone down my intensity. I try to be mindful of it, but usually I just warn people that I'm intense. Once they get to know me they realize its not a bad thing and I always mean well. Besides, I like "me" 🙂

I usually disappear for a little bit , when I realize that its gotten too much for my own self to handle. My friends and family are use to it, I only get intense if its about a certain subject, I am excited about something, or I know I am right about something. Its gotten better with age I think. As a child I was a handful

Define Intensity? What I just say, I am a strong/independent woman. I am straight forward and to the point. Take it or leave it.

I was just going to ask how many Leos are intense.

My mom, the Scorpio, says I'm intense. I'm not sure I agree with her, though.

I would agree that there are things I may do intensely-- esp if it's something I feel strongly about.

But generally speaking, I wouldn't describe myself that way.

I don't think you should change, but I think it helps to have self control. I have a lot of self control, but when it comes to something or someone that I am passionate about, I still have control, but it is different...more emotional. I sometimes wish I was better about the emotional part of it.

I am one watery Leo, and quite honestly, I am intense. I do my best to be extremely mindful of what I am doing but sometimes if I feel that I am being way too much, I withdraw.

I'd call it 'strong willed'. Not intense.

Thinking of all my Leo friends and ex fling flings, intensity comes with a flair of mystery, that can confuse the other person and even take them by surprise.

Strong will, to me, is more open in its current intentions. Even if obsession is part of this strong trait,

I utterly love that about my Leo friends. I never met a Leo who is in denial of something.

It's only natural when you know what you want or don't want and find ways of making it work now or later in best possible outcome.

I agree with trying to be mindful. There are only a handful of people I truly trust for them to see my intensity.... because you can only hold it in for so long and it's against my nature to do so. People that know me well know that I'm just direct and honest about my feelings, no games.

That's how you know your true friends...they can handle the outbursts from time to time. Actually, most of my friends have seen them first hand, but have had it directed at them very little.

I'm pretty blunt and naive at times- can't help it, it's what I am. Usually though if I'm about to throttle someone or about to burst, I let my vivid imagination take over and I play it out in my mind, complete with all the gory details. Then I let the image simmer and I feel bad just enough to wake up out of the phase I'm in and move on.

Strangely enough, I can somehow keep emotions locked up to the point that I TREMBLE with it if it's too much - but that's def not healthy so don't try to do it. I'm working on getting rid of this habit.
