Hello Lions. When you guys were in High School how important was general popularity to you?? Were most of you part of the "in crowd"?? Most Leo guys I knew were jocks and such while the earth/water types were the bookwarms or slackers. There were exceptions, of course, but this was my general observation. Female lions definitely seemed to have a way of having it "goin on". I think of Marcia Brady as the quintessential leo girl. Not only is the actress who played her a leo but her role was lionine to the hilt. "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia. It's all about Marcia"!!, cried her comparatively dull yet practical sister Jan, the Taurus bull. One leo once told me that leos have a strong sense of "seeing" and "being seen". I think I know he meant....but maybe you leos could share some of your psychological secrets so the rest of us could be more leo-like. The sun, of course, rules LEO but we non-leos don't get quite the direct route to sunniness as the leos do. What does it feel like to be a leo?? What's in your heads?

Popularity is not important to me and it wasn't in high school either. I have definitely had my tastes of popularity and I find it to be too fake for my liking. People find excuses to compliment you because they want to get on your good side but they don't really care about you and chances are they don't even really like you, because they know nothing about you. I hate the jealousy that comes with it - people running their mouths when you're not around about things they don't even know about because they think you're happy and want to make your life harder. People pick apart your every move and even the nice things you do can seem shitty because they're under SO much scrutiny. I hate cattiness..hehe.

What I love is walking up to a group of friends and seeing genuine smiles all around because I make them happy. This is what is important to me, having people that genuinely enjoy my company and vice versa...I guess that could be considered popularity but I don't think it's what most people think of when the word's mentioned.

"The sun, of course, rules LEO but we non-leos don't get quite the direct route to sunniness as the leos do."

It's basically impossible to explain something that comes naturally and requires no conscious thought/action to achieve.

As for seeing and being seen, I'm not sure what your friend meant by that but I know that it is natural for me to observe peoples' reactions in any situation. To my own behavior, to others' behavior, to attire, everything.

Leos are blind...
You are aspiring to get those Leo traits...
But Leos are not bothered with the existence of those traits...

They have got the Blind man's Power of not seeing anything with the eyes through which we non-leos see them....

Youy call it perception...but perceptions change...get modified with time...some times are inspired...sometimes are goal oriented...etcetra...

Leos are blind to such changes...they dont think much...

They are like man who's deaf but can speak.A man who has learnt how to read the lips.Though he sucks in that art...but still he never doubts his skills...he thinks whatever he has infered is right!!He keeps on blabbering whatever he feels like...If some people end up laughing at him he just cant understand that...he might feel that they are happy to see him...but he doesnt care anyways ...he's deaf.

He's like a born Idiot who's not self conscious...and who never doubts his intelligence...He never thinks of being somebodyelse...like you are feeling right now...
not coz its not good to improve yourself but coz he doesnt know how to do that...He's just blind...who lives in a dream...coz real life is not that real either...

I have just tried to explain something which a leo says that's natural to him...

And remember evrything that's truth cant be said in words...

Dont take everything said in this post literally...I have just tried to explain something with the help of some words...

Popularity wasn't my thing in high school. In fact, it could be said I hung out with a bad element type of crowd. I loved them anyway. I was such a bad influence on them. Poor kids. oops. lol

It seems the most popular kids at my high school seemed to be Capricorns. They all appeared to have their birthdays in Dec/Jan anyway. They worked their way up that ladder starting at a young age I guess.

Wolf I liked your post on this thread. It was, in my view, very profound. Kris's commentary on virgos being the popular ones is also worthy of contemplation as a sidereal astrologer would say this is to be expected since most tropical virgos are technically leos and most tropical leos are technically cancers! Essentially, sidereal astrology takes into account the scientific phenomena of equinotical precession whereas tropical (western) astrology does not. So..a sidereal astrologer would say the western astrology is "wrong"...at least in terms of signs. Aspects (angles between planets) do not change, however, and are relevent either way. An example here might be myself. I was born on March 9th. Western astrology would place my sing at 19 degress Pisces. But in fact the sun was in aquarius on March 9 of my birth year. An astrologer in India, for example, or an american siderealist, would consider me an aquarian, not a piscean. I could make a case for either, although I am very obstinate which is defintely fixed sign psychology. Could the virgos Kris sees as so popular really be leos— Could Kris really be a cancer—? Only those leos born about aug 14th thru sept 14 would still be leos sidereally. Obviously this includes some tropical virgos!!

Technically. Sidereal astrology is a very messy subject considering there isn't anything solid enough to back it up. From what I understand, some astronomers made this huge astral mistake somewhere along the lines. Am I right? And it turns out the the houses in the sky were all off? If this is the case, why hasn't it been given more attention as far as astrology is concerned? You would think there would have been a bigger deal made of it.

That would make me a cancer. My sun is the one Leo placement I have and I feel more Leo than crabby despite the cancer influences already in my chart.

i used to be very popular when i FIRST started high school. i remember being in class and being goofy with my friend (who was an aries) and we literally had a CROWD! lol people were watching us like we were entertainment! it went downhill from there though, i guess bitchy girls got jealous of me and decided to bully me...then i lost all my confidence and suffered from a bruised ego...i was crabby with everyone and withdrew from people alot (guess this comes from my cancer rising) this put people off and i began to become very UNPOPULAR in high school...but i've left that shithole now and i'm BACK to my usual sunny self!
