If I ignore someone, it's mostly in a strong effort to prevent myself from lashing out in anger. Did something happen that may have caused a rift?

I think a Leo is much more likely to lash out than to ignore but they can be two sides of the same coin I guess.

Totally agree.

In addition to being hurt by someone. I ignore to avoid highly explosive emotions. Prob my scorpio moon.

From my experience, a Leo only comes to you when they a) need to talk about THEIR relationship or THEIR problems, b) need attention, c) have absolutely no other ("better") options or nothing "better" to do at the moment. As soon as something/someone they perceive as "better" comes along, they're gone. They can ignore you for weeks or months when something "better" occupies them, and then one day they'll call like nothing ever happened. If they do come back, it most likely means that they have no other ("better") options at the moment and you'll do for the moment until someone/something "better" comes along. They hate being alone so they may need you to be there with them and give them attention, or they may need you to stroke their ego, or they may need to talk about their problems and they may need you to listen/agree with them. So my guess is that the person has something (they think of as) "better" to do with their time at the moment. By the way, this is not meant in a negative/accusatory way at all. I love Leos. Like every sign/person, Leos have their pluses and minuses. These are just some observations from my life-long dealings with Leos which may or may not be relevant in this particular case.

I think, the thing about personal observations is that, we don't usually consider our own energies in the mix or assess them dispassionately. Somehow, I'm tempted to believe what you've described, Whever, might be how a Leo would interact with say, a Gemini. And his or her interaction might be completely different with a Pisces or Capricorn or Taurus...

I don't know if my theory makes sense, though.

Hmmm

I don't think it's a matter of a Leo "acting differently" with differen people/star signs. I think it's a matter of the Leo realizing how their actions may be interpreted by different people/star signs, particularly people who are not Leos and thus have no access to the Leo's thinking process - which may obvious to them but not to others. Same goes for everyone/every star sign. Obviously, different outside perspectives help you see how your actions/behaviors are perceived by others.

This is probably the most truest statement I've read on here about Leos, at least from my experience.
