Is it possible for my Venus in Cancer to conflict with my rising in Sag? One second, I'm super needy and overthink my relationship. The next second, it's as if I'm completely detached and couldn't care less about it because something (not someone) else has caught my attention. It's rather extreme and I'm thinking that something is conflicting with that stupid Venus placement...or that moon placement.
Anyway, I like really attractive and super smart men but totally not smooth...men that are too honest and too clueless about women to play them. Yup that's my type.

Yes, I think they can be conflicting. But the fact that you have two very important placements in Cancer I think the Cancer would eventually override your Sag rising. A softy Leo at heart. I really liked your post, chocolate. I think that i need to be attracted to a guy, physically, b/4 I would consider dating them. I know that sounds superficial, but it's the truth (Venus in Leo). I have ended up dating a couple of people who were my friends first...they were OK looking in the physical sense, but their personality made them that much more attractive. As far as "personality," I like all kinds of different people, however, the key word is "different." I don't want to date anyone like me, and that person needs to be unique and stand out in his own way. As far as the power types, i do seem to attract them...but I end up w/ the needy types (That seems to be the current trend for me). Truthseeker...I'm not sure that has anything to do with your Venus being in Leo. Mine is in Cancer and I can tell you that I am just as superficial in my selection of a guy as you are, if not more, haha. If I'm not attracted to him from the first moment I meet him, I don't care how much he has to offer or what a nice guy he is...it will NEVER happen. I have yet to meet the guy who grows on me.

Does anybody ever get exactly what it is they want? I used to say that God has not made the man for me, he doesn't exist. I am not saying my bf is not the one for me. I don't think we ever find what it is we're looking for in the opposite sex. One Human flaw is GREED, and if we were to find everything we could ever hope for, we'd always want just a little more. To me, I know that I've met the right person when my attitude starts to change and I begin to learn about myself. I have extremely high expectations, as does purrr, and no one could ever really meet them. If the person I'm with allows me to lower my expectations and be more accepting of the human being he naturally is, I've met the right person. Of course, that doesn't mean that I'm settling, and the person will have to meet my expectations regarding how I want to be treated (of which, my expectations for how I want to be treated are fair...I don't ask for much).

Your question on the other message board is legit, and you are correct...the sun can only be in one sign at a time. In fact, I've read a lot about the fact that their are no cusps...the "mix" that I have mentioned above could be caused by having my mars and mercury in cancer. I once read that not only does the DATE of birth determine your sun sign...but so does the YEAR. e.g. I was born July 23rd, 1981. It just so happens that that year, the sun entered Leo on July 22nd...so if you were born July 22nd, 1981, you are a Leo. That explains why horoscopes are listed for Leo's July 22nd-August? and other are listed as July 23rd-August? Rarely, I see a July 24th-August? So, I hope this answers your question.
