Bloodless coup d'?tat and librans

what happnd in Thailand is the second bloodless military coup in my knowledge.

First coup in Syria under General Hafez-Al-Assad - libran. But he turned out to be self assumed president of the authoratarian govt and ruled 30 years but his rule stabilized the country's government after decades.

Now General Sonthi Boonyaratglin in Thailand - another libran. Though he says he is gonna give it back to democracy,in the lights of previous case am quite curious.

Any more case histories in your knowledge— pls share.

*Typical Aries response:* What's a coup without a few government officials getting knocked off though? A boring one that's what. 🙂 When you kill a few authority figures or so, people pay attention and take you seriously. That's how we screwed over the Brits.

Nothing to worry about here. The coup was harmless... The coup sounds so bad by the names and how CNN broadcasts it on the news.. i have to say but the reality is a different story. People were out taking photos with the army and the tanks in the town. Tourists, Concert and Parties were still going on after the coup... Had a blast on my birthday party after the coup 2 days!!! People were out drinking and dancing all night still lol! Shopping mall was packed by people still!!

Now General Sonthi Boonyaratglin has given it back to democracy already and There is already a new PM and the election in the next year...
