Libra's truest friends

I just thought I'd put on a topic here - curious about Libra's best friendships.

In my opinion, good friendships are based on ease, respect and fun, and especially balance.

(speaking of same sex, in this case female friendships here - you don't want the sexual attraction thing to ruin it)

Libra-Libra: Best friendships, of course depending on alot of factors. The equal amazing sense of ease and respect came from a fellow Libra, with opposite moon to mine. Too bad she had to move away. I never found that same level of friendship again.

Leo-Libra: Of all my friendships, I think this one is one of the bestest. I've never felt so loved and appreciated just by being in the presence of an awesome bond.

Taurus-Libra: Though this one may not work out in the long run, there is a very strog sense of harmony and love between you, that is, if all things are aligned right.

Sagittarius-Libra: So much fun and natural compatibility! But in smaller doses.

Au Contraire:

Aries-Libra: I have found this one to be one of the worst kind of friendships. The level of knowledge of each other will form a fast and instant bond, but the Libra will feel extremely uncomfortable in the Aries' presence, feeling like the Aries is out to compete and win - its not a true friendship by any means. Aries tend to be more jealous than libra, and (horrors) tend to act on the jealousy, surprising Libra in the things they do and say.

Aquarius-Libra: On the surface, this one seems like a strong and good bond. But get a bit deeper and you'll uncover all the contrary. Aquarius are naturally controlling - my meekest of Aquarian friends has this extremely stubborn and fixed POV that will not compromise. Behind the Aquarian congeniality is one quite disdainful of Libra's passivity. Aquarius is one sign that respects power, and Libra will tend to be pushed around because of Aquarius' tendency not to compromise. They prefer to benefit the group as a whole than individual friend - whch Libra does best at.

Virgo-Libra: If both are positive, it will be a good one, but be careful of it becoming an undermining game. Your Virgo friend has the tools to undermine you when you are not even noticing. That's when they start to see something they dislike of you or something they wish they had.

Scorpi0-Libra: Good friend if you can manage to walk on eggshells. Also depends on the configuration too. But one wrong word from Libra and this friendship will go up in flames faster than a falling bridge.

Capricorn-Libra: This one is actually a good one - but it will eventually end - I think it's a short term friendship. Capricorn has a certain respect for Libra as an equal - Libra will feel like its the working of a strong friendship, and it is. Capricorn will not diss or talk behind your back, but they will move on for greener pastures when they feel like there's a greater benefit to be had from another alliance. But there will not be any ill will or bitterness at all. Just an end to a short friendship.

Cancer-Libra: At first glance, this one is a nurturing friendship, possibly a caring and awesome one. But get a bit closer and you'll see the Moon person's inherent insanity. Then you'll get scared, but it'll be too late. The Cancer friend controls by being nurturing. Or worst case scenario, they'll force Libra to nurture them. Incite Cancer's jealousy and you'll be scarred for life - their mother will tell them to copy you. They'll get suffocating and you'll run away.

Pisces-Libra: Good if pisces can maintain their positivity. Meet less often, to have the best of each other when you meet. Pisces, when negative can undermine your world by tearing it down. They als tend to be naturally very critical of Libras. Watch your back as some seemingly innocuous remark can have a negative tone.

Gemini-Libra: Good friendship based on mutual love of literature. Libra tends to appreiate gemini and vice versa. But the amount of feel-good is not enormous - just a small comfortable amount. But when Gemini unleashes the jeckyll-hyde complex, it may well destroy some loving bonds you may have.. because you'll never know if hyde will come up again.

Libra & Libra~ cool as hell at first. Lukewarm feelings!

Cap & Libra- I love her to death, but is the most depressing person.


Scorp. & Libra. What ease & fun! Can't think of a single bad thing!

Cancer & Libra- moody as hell! Good day = Good friend , bad day = NO friend!

Virgo & Libra- my BESTEST of all time!

my best friends have always tended to be fellow librans, and also a good number of gemini females, but not really the males. they're like horny puppies. if they aren't humping your leg, they're busy humping somebody else's leg. have been friends with aquarians, but they tend to definitely be controlling in one way or another. they're good to mimick if i find myself feeling socially nervous. i'll just start acting like them...and you've got to really know somebody closely in order to know just how they act. so at least that's nice.

my aunt's an aqua and we're pretty much really close friends, but she's definitely a controlling type, underneath all her charm. luckily she knows that i'm stubborn like the entire family and there isn't much chance of telling me what to do. other aquas do not have this familial tie though.

have a history of becoming friends with water signs. works well for a while, but not all that great. cancers start out nurturing me, but then i end up nurturing them. they take and take. parasites. ugh. males are hard to get along with, only because there's some tension there...either not mutual or mutual and poorly communicated and generally a cause of cattiness and jealousy. scorps always think they're so much deeper than they are. pisces, things are great until they see my insecurity, then they pull away. bummer.

fire...love the leos, at least the female leos. males are nice but obnoxious. females are just so lovely, but we never get close. but for people i don't get close to, they've certainly been very good at comforting me during tough times. strong ladies. aries...sometimes they make good friends, other times they don't. they're a bit selfish for my taste. sagittarians...love the guys, though we usually bicker a lot about philosophical matters, but i love that and i think they do too. almost always hate the females. they're just so full of shit.

earth...generally get along well with cap females, hate the males. the females are way too fake to get deep with, but they're good for casual company. very nice. good manners. i've been friends with only a few tauruses in my life. the males are super sweet. even though i haven't personally gotten along with all of them, i've always found that they had the very best intentions. i love virgos, but they don't seem to love me. i dunno. i just always think they're so sweet, then they pull away.

One of my best friends is a libra girl and I would absolutely do anything for her!

Whoa, so true! My piscean best friend from childhood totally changed when we grew up. I dont know what happened to her but she was no longer that positive oasis of christ-like proportions. I guess life destroys one like that. When she knows an insecurity, she will tend to play up on that. I dont know why, but it became a negative spiral. She thought I could stand for it and ignore it but no.

I think, IMO, there comes to a point where things may change. When I was 22, things were still peachy and cool.
It's between the ages of 25 to 27 that everything changes. I really dont know why, but I think at that age, alot of people plce their focus on power and money (yes I am just being candid) and thats where most friendships tend to be used for own gain or they tend to be disillusioned by the world in a cynical frame of mind.




On a side note, anyone feeling their friendships become important? I think Saturn in Libra has affected me this way, even more strongly. I care for friendship compatibility and genuine friendships. I never really looked at it when I was younger, but I think its essential to have a strong few friends that are beneficial to mental health and some people you actually enjoy being around..

I still think libra tends to collect too many friends. Some of them arent even good friends.

Libra/Aries: Male-Male - Aries ambition combine with Libra intelligence to form intelligent ambition. Aries temper is easily controlled by Libras reasoning. If the two butt heads Aries will quickly respect libra, though Libra prefers to demonstrate a prefference for peace and diplomacy he will demonstrate dominance if he has to. Fights are few and far between both realizing it's not worth it, both will chose to create a laid back but interresting enviroment. Aries will inspire trouble, Libra will make sure it is just enough trouble that Aries can handle it.

Male/Female - They will become each others confidant. The relationship will consist mainly of infrequent but important conversation. Aries gives it to Libra strait, Libra oddly enough...gives it to Aries strait.

Libra/Taurus: Male/Male - The friendship feeds off of the combined intillectual capacity of the two. They will usually become friends because of a mutal appreciation for the abillities of the other. Both are loyal and confident, when they are around others the two make others feel like wherever the setting, it is a safe place for others to be themselves. Battles are usually fought intillectually, both are ultimately willing to agree to disagree most of the time.

Male/Female : Also an intillectually based friendship. They read each other very well, it is easy to be chummy with each other free of fear that the other will get the wrong idea. They take each others word for face value.

Libra/Gemini: Male/Male - Very spiritual friendship likely to stand the test of time. Deep sense of honor between the two of them. Neither is capable (though they might try) of decieving/hiding the truth from the other. Libra will demsonstrate more trust in careless behavior with Gemini and let him get away with more than he would with others. Gemini can see the Libran dark side, he understands that while this may be the case Libra can and will put him in his place if he deserves it and that is an area where Gemini wil let Libra get away with more than others.

Male/Female - They appreciate and respect each others ability to deal with just about any circamstance with a cool/detatched demeanor. When they are around others they may seem more cold and intillectual than others, but their ability to connect to each other is also likely to leave the same people feeling like there is a stron invisible bond between the two. These two are most likely to go to each other to tackle serious issues.

Libra/Cancer: Male/Male - Both are attracted to interresting people and the differences between the two make a lot of interresting. Usually a friendship between the two will be highlighted by a twisted, anything is fair sense of humor. No matter how close the friendship is they will always feel equal but seperate by choice. While there are clear qualities each admires in the other they will never feel like they are one and the same. They expose each other to the values of each others sign.

Male/Female - Pretty much the same as the male/male relationship with one exception. The Libra guy will see the Cancer female as overly emotionally driven and emotionally devisive while the Cancer female will see the Libra male as overly intilletually driven and intillectually devisive. Frienships will be uncommon as most will start with a morbid curiosity and fall pray to an unsucessful attempt at romance.

Father(Libra)/Daughter(Cancer) - Libra will be enchanted by his Cancer daughter. They will develop an impenatrable bond with humor. Father will be fiercly protective and this will inspire the Cancers already protective nature. A lot of the qualities that a Libra would otherwise struggle to look past with a Cancer female is overidden by the fact that as an athourity figure Libra has (and feels blessed to have) the ability to mold the Cancers life.

Libra/Leo: Male/Male - This is probably the least likely frienship of the zodiac, if one develops it will likely be out of Libras appreciation for the Leos heart and general enthusiasm and Leo at first thinking that Libra is laid back enough to handle his strong personality. They are likely to be part time friends enforced by Libra. While Leo could hang out with Libra every day, Libra has to put a lot of energy in maintaining a live and let live attitude towards Leo. If the two butt heads Libra will be immune to Leo's attempts at control and intimidation having a stronger natrual aptitude at control and mental intimidation than Leo. While tension is almost certian it is unlikely to get physical as either Libra just won't care to stick around in the situation long enough for it to get that far or if he does Leo will fail to cross that line on his own accord. This friendship is likely to switch to open enemies at any time but unexplanably switch back to friens just as fast. The two are competative and incapable of completely trusting the others motives.

Male/Female - These two represent complete opposites. Leo woman represents only and exactly what she feels at the moment and Libra what he thinks. They are most likely to be social friends like teenagers are social drinkers. They will hold on to each others contact info and invite each other to parties/social gatherings but they don't have much to talk about one on one. They can usually be spotted justifiing opposite opinions in a group discussion at a social gathering. It remains friendly purely because of Libra's tact and basic drive to keep things detatched and intillectual preventing each other from taking anything too personal, he does that work for the both of them. They are unlikely to be friends for the same reason as Libra Male/Cancer Female. Their initial interraction is more likely to be sparked by sexual attraction of opposing forces and result in either a flash in the pan relationship or sustained relationship though in either case neither will regard the other as their "best friend".

Libra/Virgo : Male/Male - Another unlikely friendship. They are most likely to mutually choose to be superficial friends because they can make anyone else around laugh and feel uncomfortable at the same time. They both have a twisted sense of humor and a quick mind/tounge but while they may be able to respect each others abilities they are unlikey to trust each others motives. This is because Virgo Males ethical lines fall exactly wherever his goals are where Libra's goals fall where his ethical lines are. Those close to Libra are likely to be surprised by how abrassive and aggressive he can be when dealing with a Virgo. Despite this, Libra is willing to rely solely on his social skills to keep things on an even keel with Virgo but Virgo is likely to prefer to keep things distant. If they find friendship it will probably be on the wrong side of the law.

Male/Female : They represent completely different ideals however, they will be able to intuitively understand each other on a level deep enough that they can maintain a solid friendship. While Virgo may represent and conduct herself in ways contrary to Libra she will be able to do so in a way that makes Libra think before he reacts. They have a sort of spiritual connection, making the other feel befriended and supported even if they disagree.

Libra/Libra : Male/Male - An easy friendship. Both are laidback and secure around the other. They naturally assume trust in one another and are likely to be a powerful team because of it. They take each other at their word and will back the other up without thinking. They have a friendship like a cop partnership. Both are free to speak their mind and even serious disagreements won't get in the way of a sense of duty to stand up for the other. If single they are likely to cause a lot of trouble with women. If not they are likely to hang out with each other over other friends because they won't encourage trouble with other women.

LOL @ this one! I think female and male same sex friendships tend to differ somewhat (or quite a bit).
My Libra friend's male Leo friend is very protective of him and likes him very much, although I am not sure what Libra(m) thinks. He's always being sarcastic to the Leo friend, which Leo(m) laps up for some reason.

I think that Scorpio female towards both male and female Libras is very similar.. in that scorpio female tend to have the same effect on both.

My best friendship is a sagg-libra combo. Then again, a lot of my chart contains Sagg, so that might explain some of the common ground we have.

I love my libra cousin, he\'s always been there for me, and I appreciated everything that he has told me and given me when we were children. Although I never grew up with an extremely loving family, I knew I had my place with his. I helped him with problems and he did the same with me. We went to parties, and i was his best man at his wedding. He truly is a remarkable man that made everyone look up to the bright side of life. I was there when his mother died, and i told him that we are brothers and brothers will always stick together.

I miss the guy...

well with new ppl, i always tend towards water signs and aquas

but on a day where im just feeling laid back and wanna chill for the moment i always wind up around water and earth signs or signs with those kind of emphasis

but the friends i always keep 4 life that have never failed me were pisces, a cancer, a few scorps(but they were older than me a few my age)aries, leos, and capricorns, i can always call on them,

my friendships with taurus is always turblenet cuz we always end up arguing about who put in what last or over something small but at the end of the day we end up cool

but def. pisces, my best friend is a pisces, all three of them are.

I agree with this. I have only called pisces my best friend.. never changed it, though we grew up and personalities evolved.

Nicodemus, I was reading about your male/female Libra-Libra and Libra-Aries and I just thought how true that was! Seems like the details are pretty accurate when translated to what I see from Libra (m)'s POV. But re: the Libra-Libra male-female friendship, it takes quite a bit of idealism to maintain it, especially after the relationship have evolved beyond friendship between them.

I totally agree it's the deepest connection for a Libra. Not for the faint hearted, or runners!
Libra(m) has taught me many good and bad lessons, but at the end of the day he's always around.
Friendship always has a romantic twinge to it, and agreed with the Libraness. I'm always more of who I am - feel appreciated for who I am instead of having to conform to another sign's expectations of me.

Basically its a BIG blessing.

Were really compatible according to all forms of astrology. Western. In eastern I am the Boar she the Rabbit, and myan we were extremely compatible too but I can't remember what the signs were.
