Spirit guides?

Hi! does anyone know how spirit guides work? i have heard a clear voice voice in my head a couple of times, very distinct from my thoughts...and as i researched on the web its either my spirit guide's voice or i'm going bonkers...any thoughts?

I'm not sure if this is out of line but I have one word of advice...Dissociactives.

u mean Dissociative identity disorder?

i have studied psychology and dont think thats what this is...it seems to only happen at significant moments in my life. My memory is fine, thanks 🙂

calm your mind.create a space within your mind in which you can meet your spirit guides.

it takes a while,but you must be completely still-minded and relaxed.Ask them to reveal their identities to you.

my spirit guides are Wolf and Eagle.

i meditate a bit every day...i'll try doing that! thank you

Meditation helps as well, mine are Native American; male and female.
Call upon them as well, they are always willing to help.

It does take time, but with patience you will get there.

so let's say (hypothetically of course 😉) that when you meet a certain guy your spirit guide whispers in your ear "it's this one"...how would you interpret that?

i think the obvious conclusion is - this is the guy for you - but since i find him to be quite the asshole, maybe it meant something else...at least i hope so

Idk, I think it's rare that spirit guides are able to talk to you without meditation or through a psychic. I think you'd have to be pretty gifted for that. If you want to make sure, try meditating and see if you can ask it specific questions to find out if thats who you're hearing from. Has anything the 'voice' said been validated?

But, spirit guides aren't always very clear in their messages. In fact, I haven't heard too many stories of them being very clear. Usually they give coincidental signs like if youre walking and your friend says 'no' to something that could end up dangerous for you, you might turn a corner and see a big sign with the word 'no' written on it, seemingly placed there just for you. Or maybe I'm thinking about angels? Anyway, back on topic, a spirit guide is just supposed to help direct your life so maybe this guy will be important to you somehow. Sure, maybe you'll get closer to him and realize he's not that bad. Or he'll impact your life in a good or bad way. You can never be sure until it all plays out. Or you ask more questions.

In general, spirit guides are usually someone who is similar to yourself. They understand you because they're like you. You can have one spirit guide, a few spirit guides, or no spirit guide. Very few people have none, though. You don't necessarily have the same ones throughout your life. The one(s) you have now could be different in a decade or whatever. Both spirit guides and your angel can communicate through your dreams. Guides can also be through meditation. Perhaps angels, too. I've noticed that a lot of spirit guides are Native American, as well. I haven't been successful in communicating with my spirit guide, so I can't tell you much more. If you do plan to meditate to communicate, there are measures you should take to ensure that you get your spirit guide and not something evil.

The voice is now telling you to get an ice cold beer out of the fridge for me, so I suggest you get on it!

You must keep having hope. In my experience in such cases it's always better to prepare yourself for the possible outcomes. I wish the best for you and your family, and that your father in law recovers!

i've been praying everyday he recovers. The doctors say the only hope is that he will be strong enough in time for radiation. Everyday we spend time with him, his close family members visit daily and we all keep vigilance for him. He is a very very caring and very smart wonderful man with so much more to give to the world; he is much needed in this world for a much longer time. I asked my husband what he wanted for his birthday and he said all he wanted was his father. I cried helplessly. I hope the spirit guides aid my father in law and help make him strong!

Assuming spirit guides are correct, I have two according to a psychic.
When she drew the picture, one resembled an ancestor. Another resembled a winged knight holding a bible in one hand and a tarot deck in the other.
She drew nothing of a keg behind either....

i dreamt of the dead last night. my husband spends alot of his evenings late with his poppa at the hospital. it's been hard on him. Maybe this dream of the dead will give me insight of what's to come.
it wasnt a terrible bad dream though.....it was actually good. I was the one protecting everyone in the group. My husband was looking towards where the spirits where....and i was holding on to the children.

Hi all.... This is my first time in and my very first post here.

I would like to try to throw some light on the question of Spirit Guides from my own experience.

I was very honored to have been taught by a man whom I will refer to as a "Grand or High Master". My term, not his, as his humility would preclude him from giving himself such a Title.

I have been "blessed", if you will, with certain innate abilities since Birth but he undertook my training which was intense and challenging all the way through.

So, down to business. Over the years I have met many who claim to have met their Spirit Guide. However, and all of this is in my experience, in the first instances of connecting with a Being in Spirit form, my first contact was with what came to be known as "Spirit Helpers".

Now, even these Beings have their own illusions which they are profoundly aware of and so in order not to impose their illusions upon you, the new initiate, they undertake not to talk but merely point you into the direction in which you should proceed. This lack of communication is vital until you have learned that which is your own truth which is based upon your perceptions, your stage of development, your illusions at that time etc.

However, many choose to stop at this level and to proceed no further forward. Those that do claim to have met their "Spirit Guide" and for them that is how they perceive it. That is their truth, perception and illusion and that is fine for them. Whether or not they proceed beyond that, or not, is their choice, their Destiny if you wish.

However, again in my experience, moving beyond that state and meeting your so-called "Spirit Guide" is quite a major undertaking requiring deliberately the purging of yourself of the many illusions and mis-perceptions that you brought with you. This requires time, effort and generally some guidance before you can stand in your Spirit form sufficiently open and cleansed. All of this development work requires specific application and does not just "fall into your lap". Learning to identify and resolve your illusions really takes time and it is like working through the layers of an onion. Just as you think you have resolved an illusion there it is again on the next level. For me this took some time and it is still an ongoing process.

So, finally there you are as ready as you can be to meet your so-called "Spirit Guide". According to Ancient Ways there is still a process you have to go through which I s

To meet this Being is a deliberate and time honored journey not to be undertaken lightly or frivolously but, there will be no doubt at all when you have met and you will have learned something remarkable when you have made this link. You will also know precisely who this Being is. Equally, you will be able to answer one simple question.

This may have nothing to do with a "Spirit guide" but, instead, you may be experiencing being Clairaudic.

Being Clair(anything) does not necessarily mean communicating with the dead. It works just as well with messages from your Higher Self / Spirit.

I believe everyone has a sixth sense, generally Women more than Men, and that in the past it was relied on for Survival but these days these abilities are "Poo Pooed" by those with little or no abilities.

Personally, I like it that way because those with abilities have a distinct advantage.

So go hide your light under a Bushel and leave the disbelievers in the dark !!!!!
