I just ran into this on Facebook, still not sure what to make of it but it certainly looks more than your typical conspiracy theory, check it out, what do you think?

http://imgur.com/a/Nx8EU

WHOA!

Give fair warning, please-- that link is GRAPHIC.

But, yes-- there has been a lot of speculation regarding the suspect(s), and the government & media's role in their identification.

Looks like Boston...

Must be a big sale on tinfoil somewhere.

right, because there are no political agendas .

Big difference between "political agendas" and "conspiracy theory."

Noam Chomsky, for instance, talks about "political agendas." Alex Jones, for instance, talks about "conspiracy theory." One is a linguist and political scholar with a fleshed-out body of work. The other is a Conservative whackjob.

One is a body of knowledge based on fact, historiographical methods of inquiry, and geopolitical realities. The other is based on bullshit you find on imgur that tickles your inner-Illuminati-secret-agent-vampire because the alternative (also called "reality") is way too boring.

I hope you don't think that Noam Chomsky's credentials, or even his heritage, exempt him from being classified (correctly) as an agenda-driven propagandist; you would be mistaken.

They merely grant him impunity from much of the media's scrutiny (though fortunately, not all).

Alex Jones simply provides the layman's version of the same nonsense.

seraph, unless you are willing to discuss constructively

Except you can't base any "constructive" discussion on internet photos.

Why? Cause you say so?

I'll suggest you to go back and read your comments on this thread so far and tell me again if you haven't been acting like a condescending piece of shit, hmkay?

I believe it. I believe all of it. 🙂

And some folks think the capture of this creep was overkill? Why shouldn't law enforcement use everything in their power
to end this quickly, and capture the bad guy?

They got him, that's all I care about.

I'm not surprised. The way they handled the situation with the suspects reminded me a lot of what happened with Christopher Dorner here. A lot of hearsay with very little shown to back it up.

The whole time I watched it unfold, something just seemed off. A lot of people here did, actually.

Then I saw how they handled the suspects with the Boston bombing - very similar.

I know a lot can't be caught immediately on camera, but the fact that so much was left out and everything was just being told to us seemed kinda weird.

But then again, the media is always misreporting things without verifying facts, so before long, you have a lot of confusion on what's really going on. I think it's what sparks a lot of conspiracies. Not to say that they aren't founded sometimes, but knowing how ready the media is to jump the gun with any sort of information, just to one up every other news source, just leaves everything a cluster fuck when it comes to the facts.

Also I did not know what CISPA meant (the comment at the sight that said, while boston and texas was distracting this was being passed).. I looked it up, and yep another amendment (4th)they want to screw with...

Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act
At the heart of CISPA is a Fourth Amendment issue.

The amendment reads:

—The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.??

CISPA is designed to let the federal government work with private companies to fight hackers and cybercriminals in and outside of the United States. As part of the effort to detect cyber threats, private companies could voluntarily share with the government data about Internet users.

The sharing could be done in —real time?? as the cybercops try to defeat and track down the evildoers. Companies could also share data among themselves as part of the effort.

There are major drawbacks about the legislation, say CISPA??s critics. The privacy provisions for consumers, they claim, are vague or nonexistent. The government and companies can't look at your personal data, such as medical records and tax returns, if they are part of the —data dump?? that is shared in real time. But the law doesn't require that companies excise, or edit out, that information in the transfer process.

Another criticism is that a warrant isn't needed for the government to obtain that information. And companies that share your information won't be held legally liable for sharing that information, a practice that seemingly conflicts with privacy policies on existing websites.

exactly I said this is Dorner all over again. When they said the suspect was inthe boat and that the boat had gasonline in the engine. I thought oh great theyre gonna blow the boat up and hes gonna disappear. Didnt happen, but weve still yet to see any evidence that these two did anything , and that the perp really even exists.

I'm not a hardcore conspiracy theorist or anything, but just how things have been handled in both situations- just leaves the vibe of something being off. Just the the fact that all these- Dorner, Boston, and Sandyhook wrapped up so quickly in the media is kinda weird. But that's how the media is- on to the next fantastical thing for ratings.

meh..everything happens for a reason, and the truth always comes out in the end.

The very next morning after the boat incident, the mother of these boys said the feds were following the oldest one son for some time prior to all of this. If that's the case, the feds ate one two many donuts and one too many cups of coffee one could say. So...was he one picked as a suspect? We'll never know the full truth. The backpacks in the photos indeed do not match to the one that exploded. That's odd.
"Mrs Tsarnaeva, an observant Muslim wearing a black hijab gathered tightly under her chin, said Tamerlan, 26, her elder son - who was shot dead in a firefight with police in Watertown, Massachusetts on Friday - had first aroused suspicions in the United States in 2008, and FBI agents met with him on "at least five" occasions since, the last time a year and a half ago.

"They came and asked him, what are you doing, what are you up to?" she recalled. "They said Tamerlan was an influential lad, he had the personality of a leader and they asked me, 'Don't you have any thoughts that he could organise some kind of group of a terrorist persuasion?'" "They said they'd seen what kind of videos he'd been looking at. And they told me that they keep young leaders among Muslims under control so there aren't any bombings, so that they don't fall under someone's influence." Tamerlan Tsarnaev is thought to have maintained a YouTube account which featured videos sympathising with radical Muslims. His father said the FBI was interested in his visits to the Russian site www.islam.ru."

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/10011614/Boston-bombers-mother-Zubeidat-Tsarnaeva-says-sons-are-innocent.html<BR> So...was he one picked as a suspect? We'll never know the full truth. The backpacks in the photos indeed do not match to the one that exploded, which is odd. At this point..it doesn't matter now does it?

Regarding Texas..
Follow the money, corporations etc...that fertilizer company is owned by Transcanada who was rejected by Obama in January to run a 7billion dollar pipeline. This company is KNOWN for severe safety and fuck up issues, West, Texas being the latest..so good for Obama.

This is the second time the Obama administration has tried to deflect political pressure over the proposed $ 7 billion, 1,700-mile Keystone XL pipeline, which last year sparked debate over U.S. energy and environmental policy.

lol..this just in
"The Mississippi man accused of sending ricin-tainted letters to President Barack Obama and other officials has been released from federal custody, a spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Service said today.

Paul Kevin Curtis, an Elvis impersonator from Corinth, Mississippi, was charged with sending a threat to the president last week after letters containing the deadly toxin triggered a security scare in Washington. But a preliminary hearing that had been scheduled to continue today was canceled and Curtis was released.

Jeff Woodfin, a chief deputy marshal, said Curtis was no longer in federal custody but did not know the circumstances surrounding his release.

Canadians can keep their filthy dirty oil and dump that shit in their own country. Keep it off American soil.

😕

Crude oil is crude oil.

Crude oil needs to be processed and refined anyway. Oil will be "filthy dirty oil" in any case, before it is refined in either the US or Canada.

STFU and do your homework know it all..this is tar sands.

"Environmentalists are concerned that if the pipeline leaks or a spill occurs, the heavy tar sands will contaminate water and land. The tar sands, they argue, are more difficult to clean than regular crude, and U.S. pipeline regulations aren't suited to transport the product. They also say refining the product will further pollute air in the Texas Gulf Coast. Texas already leads the nation in greenhouse gas emissions and industrial pollution.

its like you guys think that the government is so powerful and secure that its no way somebody could commit terrorist acts without help from the U.S..if i was a terrorist i'd be insulted by you guys honestly

I'd rather sit through an hour of "Leftist" scholarship (or at least an attempt to approximate *some* level of critical thinking supported by historiography) than rifle through photos on the internet woven into a grand cloak-and-dagger story by a Right-wing media-whore.

As you like it. 😉

But it is no different than a preference for gourmet restaurants over barbeque joints (best!)-- you're still eating Roast Beast. (sp. intentional)

As for Chomsky v. Jones--

One is an intellectual with virtually no practical, real-world knowledge; the other is a charismatic, radio-talk show host.

Meaning, they are paid to run their mouths-- and they do it very well.

BOTH are Capitalists with a very popular schtick (the same one, mind you), and both make money hand over fist, at our expense.

And both are equally full of shit.

Interesting how a lot of "furriners" know it better than you do.

I'm a union shop, automotive, and I have no "quota".

you REALLY DO cherry pick!

do you REALLY think an employer is going to look at two apps and the more qualified person will be turned down because they are a few shades darker than another person with less qualifications?

that's not gonna happen....not when it's hard enough to fill positions with good people.

so if a light skinned black man and dark skinned black man were at the admissions desk....and the dark skinned black man had better credentials....

you are saying the light skinned black man would get in because he's light skinned?

because that is essentially what sutekh is saying.

No, I'm saying BOTH the dark skinned and the light skinned will get in OVER a qualified white man/woman. So if we go back to your question on the application process for employment, tell us what the difference is and why.

The people in the "middle" make up the majority, and that was felt really hard during the recession. That recession was bogus and an attempt to eliminate the middle class all together. The G8 had been planning that for years. They never realized that if we fall....they fall harder because they have a much larger distance to the ground.

Those ^^^would be the people bending over grabbing their ankles... The Caesar days with the rich.

History repeats itself...when we start seeing helicopters tossing out loaves of bread, we're in big trouble.

Regular public schools are closing down left and right around here, and being turned into political buildings. I have a HUGE problem with that!

as far as the schools shutting down, I'm all for consolidation. public schools need a complete "do over". from the top to the bottom. the administrators were making more money than they ever should have based on how many schools were under their umbrella....regardless if it was a decent school or not...that is why we had so many "dysfunctional" public schools to begin with.

the only way to really change that is to get involved in local politics and the school boards. the states control that, the federal government only subsidizes. we seen how fucked we were when the feds got involved with the "no child left behind" act. it's best to keep them completely out of it and only use them as needed. the states are completely capable of running their own operations.

See now, if I KNEW the consolidation was for the benefit of the kids, I'd be all for it. The Administrators will make MORE money as a result of consolidation, just watch that. More kids, more responsibilities, more work, blah, blah, blah..What happens is the teacher to child ratio gets overwhelmed again, and we have a repeat of the 80's. Just push the kids through. I totally believe politics need to get the hell out of the public school system, and I believe there is a better way to meet this half way without closing the schools down. One administrator per county..let the bastards earn that sweet salary they get. Keep the key teaching positions open (high school regents teachers), have more part time teachers by scheduling accordingly. It can be done, but because politicians have their noses so far up the school's asses, they won't compromise. One would think that the school taxes would go down with all this consolidation..HA..think again. It's not happening. In the end the kids lose.
