In my case restrictions (at home and school) made me feel rebellious and furious inside, but somehow I managed to keep my behaviour in check and make the best out of a bad situation. The restrictions were caused by my mother’s NPD and also by the last years of Ceausescu’s dictatorship regime. The former was having daily abusive rants which intensified at any reminder that I existed. The latter made people follow absurd rules and take revenge on those who didn’t. I treated both like a necessary, and most importantly transient evil. Kept telling myself that once I will become in control of my life, aka an adult, I will never ever have to endure such crap again.

As an adult, I have red flags and dealbreakers that are most likely based on the past, for example I react promptly to gaslighting or to brainwashing attempts and can’t stand lies and hypocrisy.

Yes!!!

I grew up in strict household and restrictive social environment (angry Aries father and helicopter Scorpio mom). My Leo mars got dampened, delayed and depressed by that Saturn. Saturn is still kicking me every time I am out of line. I honestly hate it. I know that with all my Leo and Gemini personal planets, my life would be so much more fun and Saturn doesn’t like fun. It likes hard work, discipline; it is harsh and cold.

I am still learning about it, albeit slowly. I don’t like how it holds me back. But without Saturn, maybe I would be a crazy mess? I think I just need to learn balance.

Damn that's a tough way to come up. I didnt wanna say it outright but the aspect does Pliny to some sort of suffering and abuse. Im glad you came outta that tho. Keep those red flags too because as we both know, gaslighting happens a lot these days
