LARP

Have you ever Larped before??

So I recently made friends with this Aquarius girl and we have so much in common, she's artistic, creative, we sing together, drink tea together and she's even a drag king and cosplays...

So she told me she did LARP and it was always something I was curious about because I play dungeons and dragons and I like fantasy genre and I'm always involved with the theatre so when she invited me to come to play LARP I was like " fuck Yass gaga "

So instantly I have a costume together because my house is dressups central, I have a craft room filled with fabrics, glitter, sequins, hot glue and costumes I've created and collected over the past

And I created an undead Mummy look (I wanted my face covered because I didn't want people to see me lol)

So we both turn up at the beach carpark (the one where all the hot Surfies are) and I'm dressed as a mummy and my friend is an elf and I see all these nerds walking around in medieval garb, talking formally and just having a good time being in character.

So I left my friend and the trick is to mingle with lots of people and ask questions while maintaining your character and through your interactions your character develops and I found that I was really quite good at it because I was always a loner when I was a kid playing with dolls, lego etc building worlds to immerse myself in and when I came to play the LARP session I instantly felt that they were in my realm.....people were asking me questions left right and center and I was explaining everything about me just making it up on the spot as I went along and people fell in love with my mummy character and I've already started to build a tribe of followers — I'm so popular....

But seriously it was hilarious I went to work straight after and told everyone what I did and one of my work mates said he was in the car park and he saw all these freaks dressed up and he wanted to bash them and I was like "THAT WAS MEE"!!! —

So has anyone larped before? Or have any stories?!
